  1. Will wheels from an 01 bird fit on a 98? I am asking because I want to put wave rotors on my bike but I understand that they won't fit on the 98's.
  2. Do you have any pics of this set up??? I've got a mototek undertail and the turn signals are barely visible during the day.

  6. I know didly squat about suspension set up on a motorcycle. I have read lots of threads about different set ups but I am still lost. For starters I weigh 330lbs... no 2up riding for me :roll: I ride mainly to work and back, but like to have some fun on the weekend, and looking for a set up that will give the bike the best handling possible. What if any recomendations does any one have except of course the smart ass comments that I know I'm gonna get like, loose some fucking weight. :evil:
  7. Not to hijack your thread.... but does adding a shim raise the clearance between the rear wheel and the sub frame? I just put on an undertail, and when I hit big bumps the tire rubs against the undertail.
  8. I took mine out and soaked it in Sea Foam. No problems with re-installing it, and haven't had any issues. The carberated versions have a sock strainer in the tank under the petcock.
  9. How do I lean it out??? Like I said I'm no mechanic. I wasn'r even going to mess with it until I started reading in this forum that it wasn't that hard to do. You guys are great!
  10. Ok I'm no mechanic... but I got up the courage to try cleaning out the carbs and jets on my bike. Most of my problems went away. The bike starts without hesitation and idles with no problem. The problem I'm having now is that there is a slight hesitation around 4 or 5,000 rpm. I don't want to do the carbs over, but if I have to I will. Any suggestions as to what my problem might be?

  12. Does any know if the digital instrument cluster can be placed on an older model (anologue) blackbird. I ran into a guy that has a didgital display but my bird is a 98. Has anyone tried this? I don't want to spend the money if it's not going to work. There are two listed on ebay, but I not trying to get into any bidding wars. Speaking of bidding wars... anyone seen the headlight assembly on ebay that is currently listed at $320.00? I think it originally started off as a six day listing, some guy randedavis went bid crazy, and it was at $320.00 by the third day. I placed a bid on both clusters, and he has out bid me on both. I hope he's got a fast set up at home cause I aint gonna touch it until the last few ticks of the clock.
  13. Unfortunately I have the carbs... diagrams are all 99's and don't mention the set up for the carberated version. Any one experience this problem out of the carberated version?
  14. My 98' has been running rough after I removed the gas tank. I think I may not have hooked up the correct vacuum lines to the tank and as a result am not getting enough fuel. Does any one know how this set up is supposed to go?
