Been using Rotella T 5W40 synthetic in the XX..no problems at all. Plus its like 13.00 a gallon at Walmart.

same here using Shell Rotella T Synthetic 5-40 but its 13.00 here at walmart. They to had a problem a months back some of their oil made some nasty smells. They would send you a total refund if you had that problem. Wasn't suppose to harm anything according to "them" Other than that its been great for me..

Called on place to price a bridgestone 120-70-17zr (bt020) but nothing mention or found about a "W" rating? Not sure about this tire being the correct one.

Not sure if anything would help heating at slow speeds or being stopped. At idle the water pump just isn't moving enough coolant through the engine and raditor . -
Could have been that I told them I had 2002 model the 370.00 price is for 1997-2001 models.

220 is running cool for me in summer traffic, fan is on 100% of time. Not sure if fan running so much isn't bad on the charging system. Was told once by local Honda dealer that when they sold Blackbirds over half was return for heating problems. His advice was to stay out of city traffic if at all possible.

straight distilled water with Waterwetter in the summer. Ah..straight water will run cooler than with anti-freeze, try it without waterwetter see if you don't get the same results.

2002 models and later do not have this problem..or so I was told.
