  1. Which also leaves the stator,I forget what to check and am too lazy to get the manual, but if its not charging-same problem. And batteries don't care how old they are, they are not bread, they don't get moldy.I keep seeing this crap about replacing batteries because they are 5 years old,so I checked with the techs at work,as long as it charges up,holds a charge, loads tests good, load tests again good-its good! I have a 12 year old ytx9bs Yuasa battery in my hardly used CBR600,sometimes it goes 4-6 months without a charge, all winter it gets a charge every 3 weeks on a atender (3 batteries, rotate once a week)I just load tested in November,220 cca,12.7 volts way above normal for cca and it did not just come off the charger. It fires the bike up every time.
  2. Good point, shipping is often the deal breaker for me,I've heard Greyhound is often a cheap option but I don't know yet if they ship Can-Us?
  3. OK,I'll warn you I'm not moving too fast to the shop lately in sub zero temps and the heater I bought doesn't do much, but I'll try to get my ass in gear.
  4. Could you use 97 cases if its just for the tranny? I havent checked to see if all case bearings are the same yet,but if you or someone else knows its do-able... Its warmed up here lately and it won't kill me to get into the garage,I have to take the crank out for someone else anyway, the engine's already out. Can't see hanging on to these for any reason now that I'm parting the motor. Al
  5. I have 3 DID ZVM2 110L left at $119 . blk.
  6. They have the same gearshift arm. Its a win. Capiche?
  7. I was looking at the one in the picture above, like I said my link wouldn't work. Find a 2008-10 CBR1000, bring a 10mm wrench and remove the shifter link and fit your XX one on it. They look very, very close.
  8. Thats all that was needed. I could not link to your "maybe" at work.So I didn't know you were planning a gp style shift or what you were planning, just thought I'd offer to help. But after your charming reply... You can go figure it out on your own.
  9. OK,I should have just looked at a fiche. There's no way,all RR's pivot on a bolt and have a built in pin/heim joint to connect them to the linkage rod. They have no splines. We have a Ducati 1098 on the floor it looks the same. F4i also pivots. Sorry for the bad news. What if you had a stocker anodized?
  10. Well,I have a lever on that wrecked 97 in the garage and a bunch of new RR's at work. But no time now before I leave so maybe tomorrow?
  11. Once a month is fine. I have a 12 year old Yuasa ytx9 in my 600,sometimes that battery goes 4-5 months without a charge, every winter I alternate the 2 batteries once a week. The XX on the other is hard on batteries ever since I took it off the road and onto the track,'bout a battery a year, not sure why.It gets charged from June to Oct before every race and its dead within 2 days, charges back up etc. Charging system checks out.Was great when it was street legal. You can let the battery stand for a month with no use, check the voltage,I find it usually still reads at least 12.7 . But batteries last longer when they are being charged, plain and simple.
  12. Makes me think more and more this Bird was drag raced. Lowered susp Changed shock-did you by chance notice a stiff ride? May be hd spring or set at low rebound? Low comp-possible turbo pistons Any bits of rubber stuck to that shock still? Any marks on the top caliper mount bolts where tie-down straps might have been? Not that drag racing is a bad thing
  13. Sorry, rack and guages are now on hold for a buddy who just bought the r/r,rad,oil cooler and upper bracket and more.
  14. I'll ship anywhere,as long as you have a Paypal account. Guessing weight and size of box, shipping the rack to Thailand will cost around $75-90 Cdn.
  15. You will usually find "MAT" on cams, but both carb and f.i. will say that so I don't think you can tell by looking. And they are different lift/duration. Carbs will not fit on a f.i. head because of the flanges. And vice/versa. If you ever see "MAT E--" its f.i.
  16. couple pics Upper brkt SOLD guages $75 tank $25 shifter $5 tailight $5 seat $15 GIVI Wingrack2 $50 rad SOLD r frt disc still avail $15 r caliper $15 (with lots of pad left) rr wheel $50 s/a $20 regulator SOLD cdi $20 oil cooler SOLD lines $10 SOLD motor $250 as is etc,etc just ask
  17. Recently got hold of a 97 that was crashed. Not really any plastic left but I'm working on the tail section and left side repair. My camera works,my spare usb ports don't want to so posting is a slow process using work 'puter and home. The rad,frt forks,l. caliper,l disc and frt wheel/axle are on hold. I'm keeping the frt fender. The meters look fine, when I have a key I'll check power. Upper fairing bracket is straight. Forks were straight so I'm thinking the clamps are too. Damage was mostly r. side and tail, but the givi's ttok the worst of it. Stock pipes were a little scraped up,figured not worth it. Clutch cover took a pounding, even the pressure has a couple small dents. Both frt peg brkts bent. 47000 km on the speedo. Doing this by process of elimination for everybody. I have a spare clutch cover and the motor rotates so its re-vivable. I also have a spare swingarm from my 99 for sale. The tank was perfect...until it tipped and fell about foot,no dents just 2 small scratches, will touch up. Taking any reasonable offer.PM me what you're looking for. Al
  18. OK,I may need help here. This guy doesn't know how to go to usps.com and discover that packages can be sent out of the USA.I sent him the link, waiting for reply. He's also a first time ebayer. My back up plan is to ship it to someone in the US and paypal said person to ship it to me. I am willing to stoop to bribery, remember I am the parts/acc mgr at a Honda dealer.... Small time bribery, free Honda t-shirt or couple filters that sort of thing...parts at MY cost....
  19. Hindle used to that too,I remember an R6 with one.
  20. Thanks! Hope he'll ship north of the 49th.
  21. Thanks, crossed that one to another one.the Wix one fit well,no different screw needed.
