    Keys

97 and 98 have codes stamped on the cylinder,99 up uses the longer key and the only # came on a tag with the keys when they were new. And that is big time robbery,$150 ??? I'm in the wrong business.
  2. Yep there's a 3 wire connector kit for stator connectors.Ummmm 32105-ML8-305 ?? Or something,sorry I'm at home.
  3. I had a deal on the 530ZVM2 just blk,120 links for $130,would be $155 shipped anywhere in the US.They're almost gone (2 left). Al
  4. 2 lbs? It only weighs 1.6 lbs,its closer to 6.5 lbs lighter.Anyway I'm not going any faster down the 1/4 mile, yet. They make 2 sizes only of batter case, the foam is there to fill up the space. Shorai is currently out of stock AGAIN,and I'm out of XX sized batteries. But more stock is suppose to arrive this week. Had a ZX14 racer stop in for one today, takes a YTX14 ,not having any he went for the same size but more powerful LFX18 model,$25 more. We'll see how it goes.We both just race so I still have to charge mine between events. P.s. the carbon fibre muffler bracket is holding up great.
  5. good stuff, hope it fixes the problem.
  6. There's no problem getting fpr's,at least not ones for CBR1100's. I have had very, very few sourcing problems from Honda since the quake, all of which have arrived.
  7. Hi Al I ve just paid the invoice, sorry for the delay, I wa away for the day. Regards Peter And thank you very much No worries,I should be sending it out Tues.
  8. E-mail me at: parts@forestcityhonda.ca Air mail is $18,I'm in Saturday but off Mondays.I'll send you a Paypal invoice. Al
  9. Thanks Joey. I usually keep one in stock, but parts cost a little more in Canada,$42.95 plus shipping, which off the top of my head is like $20 internationally.Air mail, everything else costs way too much. Al
  10. Oh wait, they both came after the swingarm change.Never mind the clearance statement. But were on stock rim.
  11. If its a 003 Shinko it will handle even slower. The 003 190 is close to a 200/210 in width. I've had a 003 190 and now a Shinko "hook up",clearance is no problem.Fortunately cornering is of no concern to me.
  12. Sorry for the slow reply guys.I was trying to figure what I could do and got screwed up by shipping costs (adding $7.50 to each battery) and all I've doing this week is trying to get my bike ready for the all bike drags tomorrow at Grand Bend. And its 9:22 pm and I'm not finished yet. Anyway, the YTX12-BS,YTZ12S,YTZ14S all equate to the LFX14A1-BS12 Shorai battery which retails for $153.95. I'll do $135 plus shipping. I'm using the undersized LFX12A1(closer to a YTX9BS cranking wise) in my tests on my own bike. Canada Post being on strike the bargain shipping is on hold.FED-EX and UPS should be less than $20 to the lower 48,but lets not carve that in stone just yet.I have a very limited number right now too. Gotta go finish the big red nightmare now.
  13. I started selling these in Feb this year,by March I was out and so was Shorai.Got some a couple days ago and bought one for myself to test in the drag Bird. Took it out of the box and out the voltmeter to it,13.45 V,no kidding. They say they are good to go right out of the box, they actually told me they are 70% charged, seems more like 100%. Rated at 150 cca,but cca on these are misleading, they crank out more, check the web site. www.shoraipower.com So I start the bike about 12-15 times today, which the standard Yuasa YTX12 will do for me too but it often needs a re-charge before the next race.ONCE last year I got through 2 days on 1 charge. Get back home and put the meter to it,13.48 V,no kidding. If it wasn't a brand new meter I'd think it was faulty. Some of my customers who bought the first ones said it turns the starter faster, mine didn't. It weighs 1.5 lbs and has a 2 year warranty. The testing continues.
  14. Not too sure what can happen to valve seats/valves from a couple hot moments, but I'd be checking the head for warpage when its off.20k is nothing normally. No loss of coolant?

    Lost key

No.You cannot get a key code from a vin.The original dealer that sold it may have recorded the code,so if that's possible go that route. Otherwise remove the seat lock as mentioned, which is a pain but slightly less of one than the ignition. And then get it to a locksmith that does bike keys. And get 2 made.
  16. Holy shit Phil, what happened? You alright? Al
  17. Not without knowing the color you're looking for.
  18. My 91 600 ran 13.5:1 JE pistons on pump gas,had the head off last year and still looked great.Did a comp test a couple weeks ago and still have over 200 psi. That motor has seen about 3-400 passes and close to 20,000 km of riding. I tried the poor mans way of raising comp on the 1100,took the middle layer out of the head gasket.Ran it for 2 years, had the head off last year and noticed a little blow by between 2 & 3,put the normal gasket back in and ran the same #'s as the year before. What I gained on comp I lost on leakage.
  19. Odds are slim you will get old PR2's,they sell fast and are constantly shipping so stock does not get old.My last shipment of Michelins were 3 months old....feel more like jello than rubber!
  20. I've often wondered how many have needed or changed hoses.Hey I sell these parts, weird thoughts like that happen all the time. They seem to last exceptionally long, mine are original 99 as well, each year I checked them at the start of the season, still seem really good. Somebody better buy some before Honda decides to discontinue them.
  21. Where the hell does he get the nerve to ask $4g for a bike with about $2g's damage ? I wouldn't pay $4000 for a mint 99 anymore.
  22. Sorry Jon,got a guy coming up here to pick up the whole motor. The guy wanting the crank is taking the whole motor now. Shipping was over $100 anyway
  23. Yep,you've added about an 1.5" or so where you shouldn't have. How about trading your VFR helibars to a VFR owner for his stock bars ?There must be a VFR forum right? You might even gain some money back. Just another option. There is a company Magura or something that sounds like that that custome makes cables, complete with the correct metal elbow etc. I think Motion Pro just makes longer than stock cruiser cables.
  24. Sometimes a battery will charge up,read past 13v right off the charger and do nothing as soon as you install and turn the key, instant death, not holding a charge.Been there with the voltmeter.
  25. ill be turning 51 and all the squids follow me when i go out on my evening run,, lol i stop and get gas and they fire up when i do,, they follow me and then i do the speed limits all the way out to our main interchange,, then i just give them a wave and that bike is pegged for about 25 seconds,, dont even watch the speedo,, but i dont see them till the next evening, When i get off the exit ramp after that high speed straight i get back into 50 yr old mode and can enjoy an evening of twisties and easy riding [ no pun intended ] .. I am starting to feel like if one of thoes boys got hurt trying to stay with me i would feel bad...... BUT thats my riding style,, i worked my entire life and i NEED to go fast in the evening,,, can anyone a little older relate? Yes.Good on ya! Only now I go to the dragstrip to go fast.Problem is the faster I go-the shorter the journey. And Liquid Performance is awesome coolant.
