  1. Thats what I was wondering since they said fits goldwings. My guess they would but you never know.
  2. Is it a carbed model? Which year? miles? Did you fill up with gas at the end of the first day(water in gas?) Dirt in carbs or water in gas would be my first guess.Then electical,loose plug wire,fouled plug,ect. JS
  3. After four years I would say its on borrowed time. Every time I pushed the life of a motorcycle battery it would fail at the worst time. I would replace it. JS

  10. What was your symtom when your rod was gummed up? JS
  11. Seems I read somewhere here about the clutch actuation rod getting gummed up. My clucth on downshifts engages abruply in a two stage fashion. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem and the cure. JS
  12. Changed mine last weekend after my trip cuz it got loud enough to hear through my helmet and was bugging me. All gone now,you will know when its time unless you have a hearing problem. JS
  13. Yes I have it still,my fender really took a beating during that extended 150mph run in Cody and may replace with one that has not been sand blasted. We both are fine,you know you could drop in once in awhile,christ you been close by a number of times.Your always welcome to spend a night when passing through.Later,Jeff

  16. On both the XX and the 954 I found that a medium size pipe wrench will fit on the oil filter well enough with out taking the fairing off. On the 54 I do have to spread the fairing at the bottom alittle. Works as good as any filter wrench. Jeff
  17. But be forwarned,its possible it won't fit. I'm not the only one here who has this problem but my fender has a twist to it right from the mold and the extender rubs on one side,had to remove it in my case. How the hell are you Tim? Have not talked much with you since our last ride and Cody was real busy so we were unable to chat much. Hope all is well, Jeff

  19. They recommened the update for greater stability if you ride hard or do track days . Had mine updated at 6k and it did calm the front down,on the 954 anyways. I doubt if it would be an issue with the XX. Jeff
  20. This is interesting,on my cbr954 which had tapered bearings Honda has updated them back to standard roller bearings to help eliminate head shake. On the XX which is heavier this might not be a problem. Jeff

    Dave, I have ran BT's for years,if you are looking at long life I would advise agaist them and go with avons. On my gpz1100 which is similar to the XX best I could do is 5-6k (rear-front) Jeff

    Please tell me how you get 10k,I run those on the rear of my 954 and get about 3.5k.Yes I ride somewhat hard but even if I putted around I don't think I would get even 8k. Must be doing something wrong. Jeff
