Whats the latest thought's about using a master link clip or using a rivot link for our Birds???? I used to use the master link clips on my CBR 600, but having the XX now, it's got me to wondering. Your thoughts would be helpful. How about it Joe ?
I lived in Nevada for some time and had the same problems. With the help and an idea from a good friend "Hurricane" we rigged up a manual switch to the fan. Wired it right to the sensor lead. This way you can turn the fan on when ever you want too. Just dont forget to turn it off when on some high speed blasts!! Use a lighted switch, that way you can see if its on or not....Hope that helps. It worked for us
If your Bird didnt do this before, you know that it is in the jetting. Sounds like your boys that installed it didnt do the job correctly my friend. You might want to e-mail or call DynoJet and tell them the problems. I have delt with them before and have had good luck. At least you will have the knowledge of whats wrong before you go back to the place you had it installed and raise hell !!!! Make them make it right !
Good luck
Happened to me to on my 97 XX...I overfilled the recovery tank because I was to lazy to get a flashlight and look at the marks. After it burped out the extra....Back in buisness !
I think everyone else about sumed it up......but......I couldnt not pass the desire not to write. Please figure out your choke issue before you worry about anything else. Not good my friend. Never run with your choke on, and for sure not half way !!! Ouch !!!!!

Again thanks, have to go ride the XX now...Laters...
1997 with 16000 miles. It's been sitting outside for four days with temperatures going from freezing at night, to almost 60 in the day with a quarter of a tank. A good friend of mine also said water in the gas tank too. I think I will try that first.
Thanks for your help!
