  1. Well, they don't work for one thing.
  2. I haven't used canyon dancers on mine yet, but with the bend in the riser it seems like you could use soft hooks instead.
  3. I put a set on the XX. As far as the mounting it is very simple. Just exchange the stock bars for the Heli's.* You have to nip off a little tab on the clutch master clyinder that locates the angle of the banjo bolt on the Honda bars. Once you look at it it becomes obvious, and a good time to buy a Dremel tool. You do not have to bleed the brakes. Just loosen the banjo bolt enough to rotate it slightly. (this was the hardest part for me, it did not want to budge. I had to mount it up to get leverage, do this first.) You don't change out any cables or hoses. My clutch hose seems too tight on right lock, I'll move it slightly on the frame someday. After you have it back together, you can adjust the angle a tad bit, but check left and right lock and make sure it doesn't hit the fairing or tank. As for the difference? It doesn't look like much but it makes a big difference. If you sat up any more, you'd be in the wind too much. It's not like a cruiser at all. I find it very awkward when I first ride it, then after 5 miles it seems great. If you want to sit up like a cruiser, get the conversion that uses a real handlebar. (LSL?) But you will have to change all the hoses. Keep the Dremel handy for when you lower the brake pedal after you install the peg lowering brackets. * The bar ends can be tricky. When you remove the stock grips, you'll see the bar end screw is captive in the bar. Screw the bolt back in, depress both little tabs (in the holes) at the same time while wiggling and pulling. I found if I put the bolt in a vice, I had enough hands to do everything at once.
  4. Cush drive, as in cushion. Oops, too slow.
  5. I'll bet some kid would love it! Hell I like it. How is a spaceship titled?
  6. If I can do it anyone can. I assume you mean up and down adjustable. Loosen the two bolts that hold the master cylinder to give you a little "wiggle room". to adjust the brake, remove the tiny cotter pin from the clevis at the back of the lever. Then screw the clevis all the way to the top. (I took the locknut off, too, I don't know what it does since the clevis can't turn anyway.) that lowers the pedal all the way. I took a Dremel and cut the end of the rod off since it now blocked the pin replacement. (you only need to cut about 1/4") Part two: Now that you lowered the brake pedal, your brake light comes on too soon. The switch is controlled by a spring and wire that run to the switch behind your right heel. I found it easiest to remove the spring from the pedal. Lift the switch out of it's holder, and turn the black plastic adjusting ring all the way up against the switch body. Replace and enjoy.
  7. Will someone please buy a set so I can stop watching those ads? Tell me they're crap.
  8. The cord that comes with the battery tender has a fuse on it too, so that shouldn't be an issue. Did the plug have a switch on it? I have had batteries go bad even though they sat on a Battery Tender. Maybe just time for a gift for the girl.
  9. The downside is you have to go to Detroit to get it. I hope it's fast!
  10. Reminds me of the salesman: "Buy high, sell low, how do we do it? Volume!" I didn't need to look at the pictures, I knew it would be perfect.
  11. Check e-Bay. I bought one like new for $20 so I could experiment with cutting the tab off to see how it affects the lower pegs.
  12. Did you say Kurvygurl will fix your nuts?

    How much?

I was at Wal-Mart and I walked past a pallet of Sea Foam. I remember everyone raving about it so I picked up a can (about $5.80). How much do you put in? The whole can per tank? Follow instructions on the can? I did a search but it gives me 682 results, and most I can't even find the words "Sea Foam" together. You know, foam insulation, sea turtles. I digress.
  14. I just received an e-mail notice from New Enough. They are selling ladies mesh riding jackets (new) for $25. So if you are a lady, know a lady, or want to dress like a lady, check it out. New Enough
  15. Didn't I read where the electrical system doesn't supply enough voltage at idle for charging? I'm not sure I'd panic over the 11.94 v. at idle yet. I'd start with the battery. How old is it? Does it sit on a battery tender? Still check over all the electrical connections. Does it start ok?
  16. Did anything get wet? Possible corrosion in a connector? Make sure ground wires are clean too.
  17. It gave me an excuse to buy a Dremel tool. I think on the clutch line you can remove it from the frame clamp near the headstock and bend it up slightly. I haven't done it yet, but mine is too tight. (IMO)
  18. Not necessarily. The short wheelbase causes the weight to transfer onto the front (stoppie), and the contact patch is smaller. In general I'd agree with you, all things being equal, the heavy bike stops longer, but things aren't equal. When Lee Parks was the editor of MCN, he loved every bike he could drag his knee, and hated bikes that were cruisers. Go figure.
  19. Okay, tell me exactly what you want me to do. Who do I send the Paypal too? Is there an order form? Do I call?
  20. I'll take it. Let me know how to Paypal you.
  21. Keep watching, stuff pops up every day.
