  1. No, not unless you install a ghetto deluxe extended swingarm. Thanks, I was just curious...the ghetto-arm is not my style! Bob, 110 is the correct length. If cutting and riveting is a issue, let me know. GEISME3 ( Bill) has outlaws in Palm Coast. We work and ride together. I could get a chain tool down that way some weekend. Very cool and thanks for the offer! I have a new chain and sprocket that I picked up in the past but my stock chain still seems fine (just under 18k miles) for now but I think I'll have to replace them all sooner than later. Happy New Year everyone...Bob Z.

  3. Slightly off topic but can I use a 120 link chain without cutting it (by sliding the swingarm back)?
  4. The more I look it the more I like it - if I could sell my 2002 Silver Bird with 17k miles I'd seriously consider discussing it. But this time of year sucks for selling bikes, even here in FL where it was 32 when I left the house this morning!
  5. Seems like you did a great job; however, you could have bought one for a LOT less than the prices you were quoted.
  6. How tall are you and what is your waste size? And if you know your inseam that might help as well. Thanks in advance...Bob Z.
  7. Brand new 2010 Connies, with ABS, are selling for $9999 here in Florida...probably the same elsewhere as well.
  8. I like it...would like it even more if the price was lower!
  9. My Bird stays plugged in when not in use, even though I ride it quite often. It does no harm and it only takes a few seconds to plug it in and vice-versa.

    oil change

I did not know that. Good for Saturn. To bad the rest of the car is a POS. IMHO That was a big reason we bought it...the Honda V6 in it is a great engine. My Dad is retired GM so we get the GMS pricing - that Vue cost us $22k new in 2006 and it also has all wheel drive. Otherwise the Vue is ok - my wife drives it 99% of the time and really likes it so I am happy with it as well. And I did not know the Mobil One oil filter #M1-108 will work as well - I guess I could use it on the Vue as well (?)...I will check the prices when I need them next time.
  11. Any chance you have a 2008 ZX1400 Special Edition (Red & Black) laying around the back room or somewhere? Nope, sorry. 09 green, 09 monster and this 2010 LE still. Damn, if she comes with it I'll take the 2010! Seriously though, I should have bought one of the 2008 Red & Black ZX-14s when they closing them out, or the one that a board member was selling here. As far as the 2009s go, the Green is not for me. But maybe when the time comes to clear out the 2010s we'll see what kind of deals there are.

  13. Maybe some here (not me) will buy it and mount it on their front fender, kinda like a hood ornament.
  14. Hi Sarah. Something hard? Soft? There are a few choices out there...any Birds near you with aftermarket seats that you could sit on and try? There is a reason that seats turn up for sale every so often - what fits once person may not fit the next!

    Oil question.

For what it is worth I started using it about 7k miles ago and have no complaints; I also use the M1-110 Mobil One oil filter with it.
  16. There is one on fleabay now albeit not cheap.
  17. I thought this was sold but the person bought a Corbin, so it is still for sale.
  18. Thanks much - I did as you said and it worked perfectly.
  19. Ok, almost there. The left side was easy - removed the 2 allen bolts, took off the bracket, and replaced the allen bolts. But the right side is different - non-allen bolts and the lower one came out without problems; however, the brake line is in the way of the top bolt (see pic) - any suggestions of what I need to do?
  20. Thanks much. I removed the reflectors already but left the brackets since they are behind other stuff....that is what I was concerned with.
  21. No response on the other site so I'll try here. Is it simply a matter of removing the allen bolts on each side? I don't want to mess up the brakes, etc. Needless to say, I drive a desk for a living.
