Thanks to all who posted pics regarding the Galfer lines :icon_clap: I was about to give up and take the bike in to the stealer... but after looking hard at the pics it became much more clear as to which way to proceed.
I've installed the brake lines just the bleeding yet to do, then I'll bang out the clutch line.
Mikey gets first dibs... But I, too, am looking for an X-11 CCT. My "Double Green Dot" CCTs start to rattle when replaced after about 5k miles or so and I'm getting tired of replacing them. I really don't want to deal with a "manual" CCT. I had replaced the stock one with an X-11 CCT on my original XX, and 50k miles later it was still quiet.
Yeah bump and ditto what he said.....besides I like being in line behind Rich...
A lot of truth in that statement at least from what I have seen in the last 7 years that I have owned mine.
Of course that means you will find some more than usual with that kind of abuse, I have seen 1 XX that I saw abused here locally and the new owner ened up having to spend some cash to get the clutch straightend out but the tranny was still together.
I have this same pair just not in that snazzy black color, they say gaming but what that equates to is a shorter cord which is a good thing cause I wish mine were shorter.
I have had these for maybe 3 yrs now and use them exclusively for riding and they are the best that I have found.
Shure has an outstanding warranty and I have had mine replaced twice on that, I would say I would buy the same ones again I like the sturdy cord versus the weak ER-6's cord and I love the SQ over the Ety's but hey thats just me.
They must have added or deleted those tabs on some of their kits because mine didn't have them, I do remember someone asked the seller we got them from as to what orientation they should be in and he replied that the "bar" should be facing the bottom of the headlight enclosure.
I have seen others who had theirs directly opposite of mine and it did not seem any different as far as the light or output as well as I could tell, mine have been in now for over 2 years this way and they still funtction like new.
I was told the opposite.
I have seen them installed in both directions with no ill effects but if it bothers you flip them around and see if you notice a difference.
Wholly cripes I didn't realize that at 56K I am living on borrrowed time!!!!
Maybe I should at least have my valves checked... :icon_think:
Ok maybe at 80K then.
I swapped mine at 50K for one that had 1K on it and there was a big difference.
My vote is yes you should swap it, the old one is beyond tired with that may miles.
I think I paid 60$ for the replacement from one our members, yes it's not a Wilbur's/Ohlins/Penske but mine was so tired that 60$ was money well spent.imo.
Hadn't thought of that. :icon_doh: You come out to your bike in the parking lot of Walmart and some fuck is filling his tires off of your bike.
Wish I could say the same here but......well sometimes we do communicate but not well enough to get on it without some "protection"
That looks real clean, hardly notice it there. :icon_thumbsup:
Mines under the seat but I only use it for power to my mp3 player or radar detector, it is a little easier to keep things plugged in under there while riding and the cord doesn't have to be super long.
Do you use the power adapter while riding?
8.5K out of my PR rear.
Another 1K out of the front.
Best mileage tire for me so far.
Goodbye Bridgestone, Dunlop, and Metzler's. :icon_wave:

Quit avoiding the Pilot Roads and give us a report.
