  1. I'm a little sore and tight afterwards. Not really painful, but, I can feel what I did. Are you staying well hydrated both before and after the workout?
  2. I'm with Redbird on this one. I have a single AA Rayovac that puts out 120 lumens. That damn thing is BRIGHT! Two of those on your hand grips should do the job. If you don't blind yourself in a white out.
  3. Since I changed careers about four months ago, I realized how quickly I can get out of shape. I used to deliver bottle water. I guess throwing 120-180 fourty pound bottles of water a day does keep you in shape. I had gotten so weak, I could barely do 10 push ups. Planet Fitness had a deal for $10 a month. No contract. I decided to give it a try. I am really liking it so far. They have a 30 minute circuit that I have been doing. One day on one day off. It has a machine for most all muscle groups with a cardio step in between each machine. By the time I am at about station 12 out of 20, I have a pretty good sweat going and the heart rate is up. I am planning on going to the following schedule now that I am getting used to it. Circuit training Day off Free weights upper body Day off Elliptical for cardio Day off Circuit training Day off Free weights lower body Day off Repeat. Not looking to get huge, just toned and stronger. Time will tell how long I can keep my motivation up.
  4. That's where I bought the gun. It was crazy in there when I picked up the gun They are out of EVERYTHING and when I was filling out the paperwork some guy came in and bought every last remaining box of ammo. I managed to talk him out of 4 of them so I could deliver the gun ready to shoot. Seriously.... 68 boxes of ammo... what a douche That about sums it up. Especially since the douche is probably going to list them online and try to make a profit.
  5. Give THESE guys a call. Not sure if they have any in stock, but they are close.
  6. I use a pair of those at work. They work great on tight areas also. It just takes a bit to get used to the angle they need to cut at.
  7. Wiss are nice. I am looking at a set for myself when I can afford them.
  8. I used the Manta on my bird also. It could hold a fair amount of stuff. Yes, the magnets are strong also.
  9. Maybe if he threw in a set of new tires. I ain't ridin' on no 10 year old stock tires.
  10. Pretty lady. Treat her well and she will treat you well. Congrats on getting one fun ride.
  11. The bags themselves will be less of an issue than the actual XX specific mounting system, but I'll check them out, thanks. Mike, yes, still on a Bird, or more correctly, back on a Bird. Thanks for the heads up on David Silver. Factory hard bags seem a little fancy for my application, but if the price is right... I had the top case mounted to a Rhentech sport rack. The mounting plate laid on top, two cross bars underneath. Now, if you want two of them for side bags, mounting will be a bit more custom.
  12. Jc Whitney hard case. Cheap knock off of a Givi. I had one on my bird for a couple of years commuting. Worked fine.
  13. If you do that one in Charlotte, change the fluids. That clutch fluid is mighty dark. I like have an FI bike, but if you can deal with carbs, it is not too far off the scale price wise.
  14. Welcome from a downstater. Look in the for sale section. There is at least one that comes to mind. May be more for sale that fit most of your needs.
  15. What are you looking to get for it. I can repair some stuff Pm forthcoming.
  16. I have a few of the damaged body panels from when my '99 was stolen. If you can plastic weld they are useable. I have the nose cone with about an 8 inch crack on the left side. Tail cowl with a broken tab on the front right mount. A lower side, I believe left. A mirror housing, two windscreens, maybe the stock clip ons. Front and rear wheels that had bearings spin in the hubs. So they would have to be repaired some how.
  17. I have a pair of fronts that have a bit of a warp to them. If you don't find a straight set and want to work on getting these straightened, let me know.
  18. Is it idling too low? Have you tried bringing up the idle speed by a couple hundred rpm? Next, I would say pull the P.C.
  19. I'd say you are close on the price. It is just a crappy economy right now. Plus the XX is one of those bikes that the buyer would have to "understand". Perhaps list it on one of the national listings. If I had the money, I would have no problem buying it. It is set up very nicely.
  20. If you are going to flush the brake lines, be sure to read the service manual. It is a bit complex as to which lever you activate and which bleeder you open.
  21. With the linked brakes it depends. Do you use the foot pedal more for braking or the hand lever? Unless you use both, the different methods of applying the brakes do not give a 50/50 force. So, if you use the pedal mostly, the rears would likely wear a little more.
  22. Damn. too late. That is a great deal. If you don't like it, I will take dibs on the re-re-sale.
  23. Good luck to you. I hope it all goes well. My neighbors, man/wife, both had some form of bypass done. It is amazing how quickly they both lost weight. They are almost unrecognizable from their past selves.
  24. Double check the routing of the wires for the kickstand switch. Make sure they are not rubbing and shorting out.
  25. Thanks guys. I guess I will check with the stealers then Rosenau, Nicholsons, and Motor City are closest to me. If you try Motor City, give Toynutt a pm. I think he has dealt with them before. May be able to enlighten you. I believe Rosenau also has a dyno, if you have a power commander that needs tuning.
