it may not be pretty but i made my fairings rideable with silicone adhesive - small crack(s) but didn't spread at all after the fix - seems the silicone gave some flex to the repair.
Anybody done this?

looks interesting. and would make that front sprocket more accessible for inspection and cleaning for sure!
thoughts?
it's really good to give your chain a hard scrubbing with a fine toothed toothbrush ...
....and some good lube to really PUSH that grime and abrasive dirt and dust into the inner workings of the o-rings..... or x-rings..
.... sorry, just kidding
i'm 205 and went with 1.05g traxxion (1.1 on left, 1.0 on right) straight rate springs. made a world of difference for braking!!!! with no more front end dive!
did the job myself as well, even though i'm not much of a mechanic.
top 5 mods for me
2 things helped me:
1) throttlerocker (ultimately taught be to relax also
2) power commander (much of the twitchiness was tuned out with the new map)
but if you want a non-mod answer, it's "relaxing"
oem bt57's will get you high mileage but less sport grip. i've gotten as high as 13k on a front and 8-9k on a rear.
running pilot roads now, undecided on conclusion, but like them so far (1000 or so miles)
unfortunately it was bought as a 'one off' from Ayers in the UK. Returning and exchanging will be, is an impossibility or would be a royal pita.
any ideas on aligning it?
ps don't think it's warped.. hopefully just misaligned
did either of you find that the screw holes needed to be enlarged? They are only the size to fit the threaded portion of the screw and not the spacer portion of the screw?
the pic loads strangely, even I have to hit back and then hit the topic again and i see it then, maybe that will help.
thanks!
any suggestions on better aligning my Pyramid Hugger? here are some pics. There is no rubbing, but I'd just rather have it 'right' than off like this:
(see below, hopefully)
It's got 4 mounting points... (2) normal chainguard mounting points and (2) rear brake line mounting points on right side of swingarm.
any ideas?
wanted to post the Lowe's product # of the plastic push pins i used from Lowe's for the bottom pan plastics.
Hillman 5mm Nylon rivet Screw-In
0 80358 83781 7
you get like 2 of them for less than a buck!... and imho they stick better!
oh yeh! i lost one of the plastic pins on the bottom of the Cowls where the side cowls come together.... replaced with a Lowe's substitute for 95 cents.
hmmm.... nothing like owning a suzuki that starts on fire by itself
initial impressions of the roads after 110 miles
I elected to replace both the ront and the back (instead of mixing) since I found a 1/4inch raised flat spot on my rear tire lol..... too much commuting, too little twistie to round out that tire!
I have noticed that they don't "fall in" as the bt020's do, gotta give a little harder push... but that's my preference... i'll post more later
