  1. Looks like this is a scam! The products that this guy usually sells seems to be Canon and Kodak products. I didn't see a bike or auto sale in his past sales feedback report, although there is another bike in his items for sale report. Mark
  2. Thanks guys, I think I might have to give it a try. .. Mark
  3. what effect would a lowering link have on the bike? :icon_think: Thanks...Mark
  4. Hey Mitch, where in Ontario are you?? I'm in London.
  5. If anyone is up to a little fabricating you could do what I did and use a set of Ducatti bags with Motech racks on the bird. I picked up the bags on ebay for about $250US with the racks included. About three hours of having to think a bit and they were on. They look good on the bike, don't effect performance and are fully watertight. It was a mod that sets the bike apart, especially until I get time to get rid of the Ducatti logo...keeps everyone confused. Just my .02 http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=34747. HID Install

Used Obby's excellent instructions and everything went smoothly, didn't take photo's cause his were so good. The only problem I had was getting those damn clips back on. Took her for a spin tonight and it was an amazing difference. I did both the high and low beams and I'm glad I did. Mark
  7. I bought an iridium airblade from Fly-n-cycle on ebay and I really like it. It is good and solid and gives good protection. The contour lets enough wind hit my shoulders that I get fairly good lift at speeds over 70mph or so, makes it easy on the wrists. Pretty reasonable price at about $75. and good finish. IMO...Mark
  8. You are right, that's where I got the original idea and it worked out very well. The Lazer's sound great and they do bolt up...don't have a lavender pillow though It really wasn't that tough, if I can do it.... and personally I think they look better than Corbin and I'm sure they have better capacity. Thanks for looking....Mark
  9. [attachmentid=1215][attachmentid=1216][attachmentid=1217][attachmentid=1219][attachmentid=1220]Hi Guys, here are the photo's of the latest mod. It took a little cutting here and there but I think they look good, what do you think? I had to extend the brackets from the top of the rack by 4", I used flat stock drilled it for 6ml bolts top and bottom, drilled the frame and bolted the rack on. For the bottom bracket of the rack all I had to do is cut bushings 2" long and bolted them on where the exhaust would normally be bolted on. The ST bags have a two bolt bracket at the bottom which allows you to bolt the exhaust on the bottom of the bracket. I had to have the local exhaust shop cut a small V out of the bottom of the exhaust, bend it down so the exhaust clears the bottom of the bags and weld with stainless wire. When the exhaust was lowered the centre stand touched it a bit so I heated the centre stand arm and bent it just a bit for clearance. Now all I have to do is get rid of the ducatti stickers and paint the covers. Mark
  10. I don't think they are LED, I will check that though.
  11. I finally got the Duccati bags installed on the bird (photo's to follow), they fit great. I had to cut a slot through the rear cowling so I could bolt the rack to the frame but you can't see it when the bags are on. Problem is, when I hooked up the new turn signals, that came with the bags, the turn signals are doing double time. Any suggestions as to what I screwed up?? :icon_wall: I took the bike out for a spin, running 90-95 and the bags seemed to add stability. I had been worried about that for no reason I guess. Anyway, all I have to do is scrape the Duccati logo off the bags, paint the covers the "fast" titanium colour to match the bike and I will call it done, for now. Mark

    HID

I emailed Andy to order the kit for my bike and he emailed me back asking which bulb my bike took. My bike is a 2000. Don't they all take the H7?? I had read through most of the posts and was surprised when he asked. I had specified to him that it was for a 2000 blackbird. Could someone who has installed drop a reply to confirm. Thanks...Mark
  14. I put VFR bars on mine, it was an easy mod, they look great and make for a more upright ride. Picked em up on ebay for $60US. There are lots of prior posts regarding the install. Good luck.
