    Gas engines, I think the cold dry air (like -10F) drives the mileage down by itself. ...more heat just being lost to waste than normal summer drivig maybe? On top of that, the (diesel) fuel stations put in additives that decrease mileage for those engines.

    Yeah, winter is terrible. Deisel is worse than gas.
