i got 16t front sprocket and it puts the speedo out by 8.5%, thats on a 97 bird, from what i can make out the birds with the digital speedo are out even more -
i bought a full zeta system and as far as i can tell the can is part of a slipon kit, the exhaust strap they sent is too big, and the numbers on the can comply with a slipon kit, im a bit worried the can is smaller than it should be, and decreasing flow, there is no baffle in the end of the can. if the can is the same as the slipons then im not really worried but i dont think it is
-
anyone know if theres any difference between the slipon cans and the full system can for bird thanks

what tha fuck is a canyon dancer :?:

its alot more fun with the 16t, the speedo needle just flies around to 200ks, and the front end just wants to lift in first and second

went for a blat this morning to the beach, got on good straight and hit 290kph, still had more to go, before i changed my chain and sprocket could only get 280 with a tailwind. i changed stock sprockets to 16/44, is my bike faster or is front sprock fuckin with my speedo? my bike is faster would be a good answer
-
i tried bp 98 in my 97 and it runs like shit
-
just changed mine to a 16/44, its definetly better but a bit lower would be awesome

bike paint has different dyes in it than car paint

when u adjust your chain theres that little gauge thingy on the swingarm and above it theres a little notch, well when the notch is directly above the red line, this would mean that the chain is fucked, or does it? cause i was reading in the service manual and it says the red line goes to end of swingarm before chain is rooted. i just went out and bought new chain and sprockets but dont want to use unless have to cost me $350

i think the factory rk chain is not as good a quality as the rk xw ring chain
-
anyone know how many kms you get out of rkxw chain on the bird
-

i was replacing air filter on my 97xx, when i noticed under the top fairing surrounds there are some plastic flaps clipped in to stop air flow coming from front grills to air box, was wondering if anyone knew why they were there, and if any power gains would be made by there removal :?:

Posted: Tue Jan 04, 2005 6:51 pm Post subject: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm on my second set of D208's and finally fell victim to the cupping on the front. The first set wore great with no cupping at all. I've ridden the this set more aggressively and after 3200 miles the front started cupping. I'm looking for something as sticky as the 208 but of course without the cup and around the same price range. Got a set of Diablos to try. Anyone ever use these on the Bird? when i first got my bird it had d208s, i found they were a very slippery tyre. replaced them with diablos and havent looked back, they havent let me down. so far ive got 5500 kms out of them so far, fronts got heaps left, rears only got another 1000 max. left in it, id rather have a sticky low mileage tyre than a slippery high mileage tyre

has anyone tried running a 190 on the rear, does it affect handling?
