  1. To drill throught the stockers, use two extensions together that you would use on a wood spade (the bits you use when wiring a house). I did it and then got the Yosh spin-on's.
  2. Nik, if you do this, remember, you have to tighten the bolts really-really tight.
  3. I have found that when I tighten the nut, it changes the setting some. So you have to allow alittle one way or the other.
  4. I don't have the answer to your question but you got to love a post that starts out that way.
  5. I just rode my bike today for the first time with the 4 degree advancer. I also added a tooth to the rear so I am not sure which made the difference. Where I could seem to tell the difference was in high gear pulling up a long hill, it really pulled hard. The speedo was at 160 and it was still coming on strong. I heard no pinging but I run 93 gas anyway (no comments please ).
  6. I put my first new one in Saturday. Scraping the old gasket off was the hardest part and it wasn't hard.
  7. I just replaced my factory battery in my 97 last year. It wasn't dead but I think Carlos said that it was hard on the R/R when the battery is getting old and needs alot more charging than a newer one.
  8. Turn the kill switch to ON.
  9. Yea, look around at schnitz and check out the ones with the shift minder. That's what I got. Just set the switches where you want the light to come on with no pills.
  10. I guess I will find out too because two of them are going on my bike tonight. I don't do high miles though.
  11. So will a worn out tire, it is lighter.
  12. A good while ago, this was argued to death on here. I think it started when someone wanted to start a group buy or something. If you want the most bang for the buck, it is hard to beat NOS. IMHO.
  13. Where do you take it to have the accuracy checked?
  14. I don't know about Virginia, but in Pa, motorcycles and diesels are exempted from the testing.
  15. Dude, you are in so much trouble now. You my's well junk it or sell it quick. Hurry. I'll give you a $100 for it. It will be fine.

    Failure

I have never heard of one.
  17. Man Warchild, that set-up looks good.
  18. You don't think all the wheelies you guys are always talking about causes notched bearings do you :?: :?: :?:
  19. Where about on the harness was the tight spot? My bike don't have any trouble but if I knew where to look, maybe I could prevent it from happening.
  20. They did that with me one time (and last time) with a tire for my Wing. Their add said it had raised black letters on the tire and other add that was cheeper didn't say anything. They wouldn't give me the price. So I ordered them from the other place and it did have the RBL.
  21. That is great Pete. I never thought of using the wood blocks. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.
  22. Here is a stupid question, if you lower your bike with the fork tubes, are your bars higher in relation to the bike? Sorry about the highjack.
  23. I take it has full sleeves. Is it very thick? In other words, would you need a bigger leather jacket to wear this under?
  24. Man, there are people from EVERYWHERE on this board. Great!!!
