Hey Wade, if you are in a pinch and need one really quickly you can take the one off my bike, as it's not in use ATM (needs a fork overhaul).. and just give me the one when your order arrives. Only has a few thousand miles on it, got it from John. Let me know.
We don't have that on US XXs (at least not on my '03). My Triumph Sprint RS had it and
I really liked having that capability.
Always wanted on on the XX.. luckily the Busa has one. Great feature!
Thanks for the feedback hank. Only thing to worry about would be the bulb dieing on a long trip. Guess one could always carry the original bulb as a spare or even pick up a H9 at an autoparts store.
And agreed, 4300 is much better. The light is more natural. I have used both and it is a bit of a difference, the 5000 is very "white".. the 4300 is a lot more like sunlight.
I reckon the 5300k ones I have are great, I actually prefer the fact they are a "whiter light" that isn't so "natural" as I believe it is more likely to be noticed than "just another random light" :icon_think:
Good point from that perspective. From the riders seat I think the 4300k provides better light for "seeing".. but you are probably right about the 5k being better for "being seen".
OH! I though it was the bung-plug for the tail-lamp oil reservoir!
And newbie! I've been here since 2004 lol... granted I only have a 10th of the posts you do though lol
and, sorry, no extra plastics.. and the ones I have on the bike look like they have had 80k miles of endurance riding done to them..

I have heli-bars on the XX, planning to try the Twisted Throttle risers on the Busa.. They have two heights available, but will probably go with the 3/4.
Good idea posted above to test it by just raising the bars up the sleeve.
Amen ... I have an electrosport stator, and even with heated jacket and gloves, highbeam on, in the cold my charging system stays in the high 13's ... was not the case with the OEM stator.
you can use a rf filter to get rid of any buzz in the line. As for the wire, I'll let someone else recommend whats best, as I just use regular primary wire. Most important thing is the solder and shrink all your connections.
They (the man, the powers that be, the experts etc) recommend turning off your electric water heater during power outages... not sure 100% why, but that's the rule of thumb. So yeah, you might have f'd something up.
err the part that plugs into the R/R ... mine cracked apart last time I removed it. Is there a source other than Honda for a plug I can use, other than paying high prices to Honda?
Sounds about normal to me ... 190 is pushing it.. mine comes on about 160-170 also, and you have about .6 gallons left, so do the math. Sounds like yours was dead on.
What else can I use besides the cleaning fluid that came with the filter? The filter is pretty much an oily mess. I may have been using too much oil on it when I recharged it last. I went ahead and installed a standard filter, but if I can get this thing cleaned and recharged I will put it back in.
K&N cleaner and water, may have to wash it a couple times... and when you recharge it, hold the oil can about 5 inches from the element and spray a quick line along each pleat. You really don't need a lot of oil on it.
