  1. Bump... From looking through the rest of the bikes here, seems like my price is pretty good.
  2. Exactly ! That was my dream color, what I wouldn't give to be able to buy it.
  3. Yup bike is still there... I need a roof too much to try and keep both bikes, that is the only reason I want to get rid of it.
  4. I believe this and maybe you should keep the rock and...... Trust me I have gone back and forth with what to sell and what to keep. I guess at this point, a motorcycle to me is an emotional thing, it's not a necessity, it's a desire, and the Aprilia is just so emotional for me. I can't really describe it I guess. It's freaking uncomfortable, can be unreliable, can be expensive, yet it feels good when I see it in my garage, and when I ride it. The CBR is some of that also, but not nearly as much. The CBR is like just utilitarian. lol If I had a girl right now and one that liked to ride, the Aprilia would be up on the blocks and not the XX, trust me. But this is not the case. lol So someone will get a really great, well taken care of bike.
  5. I hate to do this, I never wanted to sell her, but I need too many things for my house to keep her. Anyway, 2003 Honda CBR1100XX(obviously). 10,010 miles. I'm the original owner, bought as a leftover in November of 2004 with 0 miles. Never abused or down, I'm a 36 year old male. This is actually my second 'bird I"ve owned, that's how much I love them. Bike is mechanically perfect, I've never had any issues with her. Tires replaced last year(Michelin Pilot Road 2's), they have probably less than 1,000 miles on them. Original everything, absolutely no mods, this bike is exactly as it was from the factory. Paint is perfect except for a small part of the front fender, where it rubbed on a truck bed when I was treilering it once. Also, because of my motorcycle boots, small portions of the tail above the pegs have rubbed through the paint. Other than that, no blemishes. Oil was changed with Amsoil synthetic every 3,000 miles or every season, whichever occured first. Last was this spring, maybe 300 or 400 miles ago, doesn't burn a drop of oil, coolant or anything. Routinely get 190 miles out of a tank of gas. I also own a 2004 Aprilia RSV1000, to say the CBR has been a rock of reliability is an understatement. The Aprilia has been out of commission a few times, while the CBR never lets me down. I can take as many pictures or any view as someone wants, just let me know. I live near Albany, NY. Hopefully someone will give her a nice home. 6000 obo, will consider reasonable offers.
  6. Yes I'm in agreement, if it's not parallel it's for shit. When I was young and started to lift(I lift to maximize size gains), I also cheated and short stroked the exercise. I wasted years of my life because of it. I was made fun of when I finally got to a real gym by the owner and taught myself how to go to parallel(a bit harder as I'm 6'4"). Of course I had to eat humble pie because the weights I could do were half of what I was used to. But years later I'm thankful I do them the right way. And from my experience at gyms since the middle '90's, about 10% of people actually do a squat correctly. The rest are poseurs either only concerned with how much weight they can slap on, or they don't really want to do legs and do the minimum just to get home. But if you really want to get fit overall, squats are an absolute necessity. On any given week now(33 years old) I will work up to a 315lbs squat for 4-6 reps. That is parallel or slightly below.

    x11 cct

    I'd be interested in that.
  8. I'd take a guess they are the Interceptor's bags. I'd be somewhat interested in a group buy if the mounting hardware wasn't unsightly.
  9. I had a catalyst on the VFR and it did not effect the machine when I removed it. I had O2 sensors on the machine and took those off also... The bike still ran strong without a hiccup.
  10. If you dynoed it, what was the outcome? Granted it's hard to compare without a stock pull, but if there was a big problem it should show there.
  11. I'm not with the majority here. You only replaced the mufflers, not the header, than you don't require a PC... Nor a K&N(which are bunk anyways). If there really is a loss(you sure it's not your perception?), I would think there is another problem. But you do keep mentioning the speeds you are attaining, which is topend, not midrange. I personally would put the midrange from ~4,000-7500or8000 rpms. The XX has a pretty larthargic midrange to begin with in my experience. It will take off at 7k or so, but below that it is pretty slow to spin up, compared with other bikes in it's class or engine capacity. But considering you are comparing it to itself this isn't an issue. But you don't need a PC, with a full exhaust or slipons. A PC will maximize gains but the bike wouldn't be in any mechanical peril because of it. Bikes do run a bit lean in certain parts of the revrange from the factory, but it won't hurt the bike. I put a full exhaust on a 2000 VFR without a PC. Ran it for 11,000 miles without it. I had the headers and sparkplugs out at least once in that time and the color of the plugs and the inside of the headers indicated a pretty normal running condition. I would definitely look elsewhere for a problem.

    Strange Topic...

Yup just in time to strand myself on the side of the road. I just can't for the life of me figure out where the two push pins go(I might add they are already broken). I'm just going to go to a Honda store and buy an entire box of those dam things.
