  1. We've translated the whole Forum-section to English.... Check out: http://bb.superblackbird.info/viewtopic.php?t=95
  2. I use the VarioBars, and I don't use longer cables or hoses. It will (just) fit..... Only thing is, you need to place the gascable on the other side (outside) of the right fork, and loosen it from the clip under the fueltank.... With longer hoses and cables you have more room, but you will go into the windscreen or the fueltank.....
  3. Check this link out: http://bb.superblackbird.info/viewtopic.php?t=34 We compaired the original clip-ons, the VFR800VTEC's and the VarioBar by Gilles Tooling.
  4. In the following link you will find a Dutch article compairing three clip-ons. The first is the standard one, the second the VFR800VTEC's, and the third is de VarioBar by Gilles Tooling. Most possible adjustments are shown here. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I have the VarioBars myself..... EDIT: forgot the link.... http://bb.superblackbird.info/viewtopic.php?t=34
  5. I own a 1999 F1 model, but I have to buy them for a lot of guys for different BB's. That is just as well, because the minimum order from overseas is $ 100,--
  6. Which ones do you mean? Can you post a link or make/modelnumber?
  7. It is also possible to use LED's with wide angle lenses, and even with LED's pointed 90 degrees radial. This way you have a very wide ray of light.
  8. I am trying to chose which type of LED-bulb will work. According to the Haynes manual the original bulbs for the blinkers in the USA-models is: Front 32/3 cp x 2 en Rear 32 cp x 2. Does this mean you have 32 Watt blinkers? In Europe we have 21 Watts in our blinkers. Can someone please verify this for me. Did anyone already try these LED's? I have to make quite a big order for shipping to Holland, and if it doesn't work....... I think we will go for: Blinkers - Type: 24 Led Matrix Bulb - 1156 Amber http://autolumination.com/1156_1157.htm Rear/Brakelight - Type: 25 Led matrix Bulb - 3157 Red http://autolumination.com/3157_3156.htm Any input about this? Do any of you use other types?
  9. Thank you very much, that was just what I was looking for....
  10. I have Clear Alternative blinkers front and rear. I use the supplied chrome blinkers, but the light is too little. I would like to buy or make orange LEDs, that will fit in the housing or fitting. Does anybody have any ideas? The type of LEDs I would like are like the ones used in the brakelights, replacing the original bulbs.
  11. That's weird..... The mechanic in my workshop even pointed the markings out to me. Maybe they stopped doing it, or just do it in Europe? Maybe my mechanic was mistaken, that could be.... I will check again in spring, when I have acces to the bike again.
  12. Don't know as I only dealt with the sports. No, the Road is marked.

    FORKS

No, it means you have to change al these parts, or customize them to make it fit.... Most things are possible to fit, just the yokes (tripples) will not be customized. You do need new ones, because there is not enough metal left to make the holes for the forks (a lot) bigger.
  14. When you said Hyperpro springs for the rear shock, did you mean to just replace the springs but still use the OEM shock? How much is the springs? How easy/hard to replace it at home? Yes, I mean just the springs (and the oil in the forks). I don't know the prices in the USA, must be around $ 250 front and rear. If you know what you are doing, able to use some tools, and have a friend helping you it is with the included instructions very well possible. If you don't do any work on your bike, forget it, or find someone who does. In total it is about 3 to 4 hours of work when you are taking it easy. The improvement is unbelievable. It feels more like a sportbike in steering, but still comfortable!

Also Hyperpro and WP have a (expensive) set.....
  16. It is about 3/4 of an inch lower, but it is quite a lot wider. In my case (I am 1.83 meters) it is a little bit harder to get your feet flat on the floor.
  17. If you think you need one, go ahead! Better safe than sorry.... When I talked to the technicians of Hyperpro (on my factory visit) they told me that there was no need for a steering damper on the XX. In all examined cases of bikes needing them, they found causes that (if corrected) would have eliminated the need for a steering damper. They encourage people to check the bike very carefully (or better still, have it done by a skilled mechanic) before mounting the damper. They do this, because they say that mounting the damper just masques the underlaying problem why the bike is not working right. The problem is still there, and will get worse, but you will temporarily not notice it by the damper. They are concerned that if you have for instance a hair fracture in the frame, by mounting a damper you will not notice the problem untill it is too late. Hyperpro does not encourage buying a damper on this bike, and they would not have made it if there wasn't a guy who payed them a lot to develop it for his bike (which didn't need it). When I was in the factory they told me that they only sell a few each year. On a hypersportsbike this is a completely different matter....
  18. I don't know if they sell them in the USA, but there is a compromise between the Michelin Pilot Road and the Michelin Pilot Sport. It is called the Michelin Pilot Power. I have the Road version now, but some of my mates use the Power. They grip like the Sport, but have a much better mileage. All of them do 6000 up to 8000 miles with these....
  19. Please let us know (preferrably with pictures) how you did it, and what the results are.... It looks quite good!
  20. For improvement of riding capacity: Hyperpro full progressive springs front and rear. I had 31 people testdriving my bike, 38 bought the set... (I had a great deal with the manufacturer). Improvement of comfort: Corbin seat, raised clip-ons (www.gillestooling.com), and cruise control (Vista)
  21. I have been using this system on several bikes, starting about 1988. The later versions are better, stronger, and more beautifull. Speeds over 160mph our very well possible. Only if you use a light topcase it will start to shake the bike at very high speeds. The only disadvantages are that it is not easy to take of the wingrack, and you have to take of the original blinkers (or shorten them).
  22. This is the reply I got from Peter (Hyperpro Holland): In Holland we sell the shock with reservoir on a hose type 41 for 737 euro incl pro spring and length adjustment . it has got 50 klick rebound adjustment and 30 k low- 30 k high speed compression adjustment . a hydraulic preload adjuster costs an extra 213 euro. peter from Hyperpro
