Great input! Thanks Ya'll! I knew I'd get my answer fast. I've run the race tech kit before and really liked it, John also has this exact setup on his 02 and it's sweet. :icon_clap: Excellent! You and I think a lot alike, except you like spendy hookers... :icon_eyebrows: :icon_suck: +1 to that. I installed racetech springs - thanks EvilXX, and it made a huge difference. Their top of the line valving is ~ $170, and seals would be ~ $50. Plenty of cash left over for beer. http://racetech.com/ProductSearch/2/Honda/...100XX/1997-2003 thank you... thank you very much. :icon_thumbsup: Rick?!? Rick who?! :icon_think: Seriously. Introduce a brotha please. :icon_noshare:

Ok, it's a foregone conclusion that I'm lazy - fuck that, get over it - but, I don't feel like searching the history of time to find the right advice - just give it to me. I've got a 98 XX and I'm taking the suspension to the next level and want to either re-do the forks by putting goodies inside, or swap them out for better ones. A brother hooked me up with a great rear shock so that's done, but I'd like the front end to be able to keep up with the rear in the curves. I can swing a wrench and I'm not afraid to either - My budget is $500. If you was me, what would you do?
  8. Sweet bike... we both know you're gonna be sorry. But, you can always do like me and get another one. Later...

  12. Im not sure I know what you're asking? Pump gas means "what you buy at the pump" verses race gas or aviation fuel or boat fuel. Regular 87 pump gas means 87 octane (RON) fuel that you can buy at the local gas station. Fuel up to E10 means you can run gas/fuel with up to 10% Ethanol. Minimum 91 RON means the recommendation is that you run Premium. The 87 RON in parentheses I believe means that the minimum octane rating that can be run is 87. Is this a recommendation on a vehicle you have? If so, then for the best performance and milage you should run Premium (91) with a max of 10% Ethanol. ok? "Octane rating or octane number is a standard measure of the anti-knock properties (i.e. the performance) of a motor or aviation fuel. The higher the octane number, the more compression the fuel can withstand before detonating. In broad terms, fuels with a higher octane rating are used in high-compression engines that generally have higher performance."
  13. I don't know about the accel and decal being smoother - but basically, you're making the triumph equivalent of a "block off" plate. I would suggest that you put some silicone on the marble so it makes a good/permanent seal. What the air injection is doing is basically leaning out the air/fuel mixture - blocking it off will fatten the mixture back up, reducing backfires etc.. Yes, the temps will be lower. I don't know about MPG - I'd be surprised if it made a big impact. Air Injection is primarily used to help motors beat emissions numbers.
  14. easy-squeezy... just like everyone says. One thing to keep in mind - the tighter you pack it, the louder it will be...
  15. have you thought about some dirt bike hand guards? Cheap, and easy... http://www.amazon.com/Carbon-Fiber-Supermo...data/B005KKWEWC
  16. Damn Joe!!! I got a guy in Greece who keeps saying that he's gonna buy a bunch of Z1000 parts from me - I'd buy it in a sec if I had the cash. Anyone want a like new head, cylinders, pistons, new rings, new gaskets, throttle bodies, injectors, and a new clutch for a Z1000? $500 to Joe, shipping costs to me gets them... Well over $1k in parts. :icon_pray:

    HRC Paint Codes?

I think it's going to cost a lot of money to paint the whole bike with black touch-up paint. I recommend that you take it to a pro and let them shoot the whole thing with a sprayer. A couple of wads of $100 and a week or so and everything will look like it should again... Ya, I know... I'm very helpful. It's a gift.
  18. Let's go with carb'd. How big is the difference? Thanks!
