  1. +3 +4 I have 5K on the current set and the rear is just starting to show a center flattening. Most of my riding is slab(I'm in Central Florida). Pat 0-1-25
  2. I got a set from a member here. I love them. They have stayed dry in massive storms and while washing the bike. The only bitch is I wish the top opening was an inch longer. They will not hold a helmet, unless it's a half shell. They will hold a size 56 leather jacket with armor in one side and size 40 leather pants in the other with room to spare. Each side can also hold 2X1 gallon milk jugs or 3X2 liter soda bottles or a twelve pack and ice. On the more practical side I can fit an AKS74U + Glock 17 and 6 spare mags in one side and 30X30 round AK74 mags in the other. Pat 0-1-25
  3. I have mine mounted above the grab handle under the tail piece. Pat 0-1-25

Dito, and I love it, not too loud but it really sounds good. Non bike people alway complement me on how nice it sounds. Pat 0-1-25
  5. You guys have confused me. I see 2 different part #s what is the correct one for a 97? Thanks, Pat 0-1-25
  6. I figure I might as well put in some new plugs in while I have the plastic off doing the brake lines. So what is the best plug for a 97 Blackbird and where should I get them from? Thanks, Pat 0-1-25
  7. Rich, I have a rear stand you can borrow. Let me know if ya want it. Pat 0-1-25
  8. Thanks for the measurements. Looks like I have some more shopping to do. Pat
  9. Interesting, maybe he was trying to shine me on. :-o :???: Can someone with the Corbin bags measure the interior dimensions for me? Thanks, Pat
  10. I do not need massive bags. All I need the bags to do is provide secure storage that can hold items 24"X6"X2". I just talked to the guys at Corbin and they said that was not a problem, plus I like the clean look. The GIVI bags just look too out of place, like an afterthought. Unless any one has any other recommendations for clean fitting bags I have made up my mind. Thanks, Pat
  11. Thanks for all the info. It looks like the overall favotite type of tire is the Pilot Road so I will try them out soon. As far as luggage goes, wow everyone has a different oppinion. I think I will keep looking. Thanks, Pat
  12. Hi guys. I just got a new to me CBR 1100(97) and wanted to get your views on tires for it. I am mostly looking for tires that will wear well, give good wet traction and a stable ride at speed. I am not going to be carving corners, so max lean angle/side traction is not an issue. I currantly have Dunlop D208s front and rear. They seem to do everything I need them to do. How will they hold up? My second question. I am looking at getting some smaller saddle bags.So far I have seen GIVI and Corbin beetle bags.Right now I am leaning towards Corbin. Do you guys have any opinions on these or other types of bags? Thanks for the help, Pat A new member.
