Race tech gives you the formula for figuring the preload (spacer length) to use. I suggest using that.
edit-you may want to use a different preload than the stock one due to differences in weight and riding style. I did and feel it made as much of a differecne as the spring rate choice. IMO
Is there any way to move the roady2 from bike to car or is there way too much to have to move? Anyone know if you can get an extra kit that has everyting but the unit so you can move it??
Storage ideas.......stay away from shelving, go cabinets!
My motto......cover up the clutter!
IMO stuff on shelves looks like shit, I want it behind doors.
I have mine powdercoated. I use an all wheel cleaner, let it sit for a minute then spray it off. Done, shiny! I also had my lower fork legs done. Too slick.
I had a truck that did the exact same thing and it was a clogged fuel filter, but I suppose you already checked (or don't have one) that so I have no other words of wisdom.
I think the newer laminates like what I put down is 100 times better about being water resistant. I had the dog knock a bowl of water on the way out and I didn't know it (prolly almost a gallon) and when we got back from 2 days being gone it didn't soak 1 bit up it just beaded up on top. Awesome shit! You clean the stuff with mild soapy water so a little tracking in shouldn't hurt.
Also you have to leave a gap around the entire wall (don't touch the wall) for expansion. I tell you that will piss you right off to have a room nicely done and 3 months later there is a 1" hump in the middle of the goddamn room.
