  1. might also try asking on www.katanaplanet.com
  2. I got some Leo Vince pipes (slip-ons) on my bird, and really wanna put on a PCIII to get everthing fine tuned. I can't seem to find any maps for theses pipes  I was thinking of maybe getting it dyno tuned since it will be done for my bike exactly. Problem is the only place I would actually trust to do the job is a couple hours away up in the mountains. Will this cause any problems? I would hate to spend all that money on getting it done at 2000ft plus elevation to have it not be adjusted for where I normally ride at closer to sea level. I am going to the shop this coming up weekend for a open house they are having with alot of demo rides and stuff. Plan on asking so questions then, and see when they could possibly work me in. Thanks for any info..
  3. I wanna cover up my engine Alt, and clutch covers, I looked at enginearmor.com and really don't care for the Cabon Fiber or Kevlar ones. Want some that are just plain black to match the frame. Are there anymore like the ones made like enginearmor but just plastic? Finding stuff for the bird isn't easy to begin with, and I havn't found anything else yet.
  4. I am using the 15-50 in my bike. After yesterdays flogging if my clutch was ever going to slip it would have.. I would like to see the dyno charts of the actual runs. Alot of things will make your numbers change.
  5. I have used discountmotorcycletires for my Avon 45/46 think I paid like $227 for them shipped
  6. When did this change to the oil occur? I changed my oil about a month ago or so. Only ridden about 100 miles on it so far.. (been working every weekend/or shitty weather)
  7. If you can try and convince them your a contractor, or if you have a contractor friend take him along.. You will save lots of money  If you pay retail for any stone they will bend you over and give it too you without lube..
  8. I would suggest a set of Leo Vince pipes for a nice mello throaty sound. I don't think they make a full system and keep the dual pipes though. I got the slip-ons and love them  They fit great, sound great, top notch quality, and not every body has them I have only seen one other bike GSXR600 with a leo pipe on it around here.
  9. please don't say that .... I don't mind easy things to work on.. My bro-in-law blew a head gasket on his little Mercury wagon.. took 2 hours (hour and 45 minutes of it was getting shit out of my way) but had it sitting on the table like nothing. I started when he left to take his kids back to his exwife. When he got back I had it waiting for the new gasket and what not. I love to turn wrenchs, he didn't even know I was going to do it for him. He just said he needed to remove the head when he got back. Right now I have his pulling tractor motor torn apart downstairs waiting on a new bearing for the output shaft.
  10. Very cool. I working for a mining company. We make ponds also, but ours are like 100 acres plus  Depends on what the land owner wants. We will have a little 95 acre pond done in about 2 yrs where we are mining at currently. Depending on the size pond you are getting 13 tons may be kinda small. I have 20 tons of crushed 57's in my driveway. Going to be getting another 20 tons to finish it up. I get free stone each yr from the company. If your going to be using some bigger stone be aware that big stone is $$$ and some boulders you use in landscaping the ground must be setup to withstand the weight of the rocks. If not properly done they will actually sink into the ground over time  I have seen trucks carry 2 or 3 boulders on a flat bed truck with just the rocks weighing 50,000 lbs. Here is my companies website www.luckstone.com look around at some of the different materials you can use. Some may be available in your area or similar.
  11. I had to completely remove the alternator  Take off the radiator hose from the top of the rad to the thermostat housing, plus had to yank off the air intake hose from the airbox to the throttle body... Plus her car is so damn low to the ground that you have to basically lay on the engine to work on anything..
  12. Will have to try that tomorrow. Thanks for the tip
  13. Well my wifes car started missing the other day, (97' Thunderbird 4.6 V8)this caused the engine service light to come on and start blinking. This sets off the code of missing 40 times in 200 complete firing cycles. I figured it was time for a good service anyway with 140k miles on it. I had just put in new plugs not long ago. But the place didn't have the wires at the time and never got around to getting in wires. So I got some new wires($52 *ouch*) and a couple hours curseing the asshole that designed how the plug wires ran I was done and still had a miss. Now I am pissed  I got the timing light out and tried it on each plug wire to make sure they were all firing at least. I found one that was firing but definetly at a slower rate than all the others.. Now is it the coil pack itself or could the computer be also a culprit? Each coil is $75 but damn if the computer is also a problem I am sure they aren't cheap  Anyone got any info that can help me chase this down without letting the stealer ass rape me for labor charges...
  14. Just how much is the 116 octane fuel a gallon? I know Cam 2 around here is like $4.50 a gallon (last yr) I am happy with 93 myself (if they lowered the price on that I would be even happier) Dave
