davesXX01 Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 It seems like there are a lot of people interested in passenger foot peg lowering brackets so to keep the other thread dedicated to the front I am starting a new thread. It will take me some time and probably a few different styles of bracket as I'm sure everyone still wants them to fold up when not in use, before I get one that I like. Post up here if interested in some and if you have any ideas you'd like to share, feel free! People interested so far: lexxus Keith cbrxxquad CBRRR Para045 TFT Quote

The only feature I would like to keep is the one you already mentioned- being able to still be able to fold the pegs up. Quote
Para045 Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Would you be looking to use the stock rear footpegs and lowering them or using front pegs Either way would be great, just curious as to which as the missus asked why the rear pegs weren't rubber topped as well Quote

spicholy Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Depending on cost I am potentially in for a set. Quote
davesXX01 Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 Have any pics or mockup? Only in my head, and thats cloudy right now! Quote
Geoff James Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Me too Dave, can't believe how good your front pegs have been for me. Now it's time to treat Jennie! Geoff Quote
oldgeezer Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 I'm interested (for the same reason as OzCrow). My wife went everywhere with me on my old VFR but adamantly refuses to ride pillion on the 'bird. Quote
OzCrow Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Yep I'm interested as well. The missus has always complained that the Bird pillion pegs seem to be much higher than the ones on my previous VFR. Quote
Iceman_40 Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 I'd likely be interested depending on the design. Quote

Hey Crow glad to see you are still alive - haven't seen you posting much lately, even on OzBB Quote
Marko Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I need two sets as well Dave. Buddy of mine is buying my old XX and his wife started to complain immediately how high the rear pegs are. Quote
bartonmd Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 If they're less than $50 for the set, I'm in... Saves me milling something... Mike Quote
Helvet Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Yes, I'll probably take a few sets. Will they work with aftermarket slip-ons, or didn't you figure that out just yet? Quote
Keith Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Have any pics or mockup? Only in my head, and thats cloudy right now! BUMP! Has your head cleared any yet? Do you have any new updates on the status of this project? Still very interested when you get around to the brackets. Quote
HANKSXXX Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Great idea... I'm in if they will clear an aftermarket muffler. Hank Quote
Big Jeff Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 I had a friend make me a set of passenger highway pegs. The pic is not the greatest but you get the idea. They bolt on to the bottom of a set of remade front pegs. That way when you get to your destination you can remove them if you want. Quote
