willxx23 Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 Does anyone know how important this is to be connected??? Just changed spark plugs and the only thing I couldn't get to stay connected was the air breather tube in the front of the airbox....bird runs fine now but????? Quote
blackhawkxx Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 Won't it be sucking unfiltered air now? Or maybe not. I would have to look and see. Quote
Mikey Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 Isn't that going down to the engine case? To collect and burn off the oil fumes? Quote
MiDNiTXX Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 I got my bike used, but when I changed the plugs I noticed this hose was not connected to the airbox. No idea how long it had been that way, I presume its been that way the whole time I owned it. I connected it, dunno. Quote

RodeRash Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 Get a set of curved nose needle nose pliers so you can hold the retaining clip open as you insert the breather tube into the airbox. Just be patient, it will go on. You can lube it a little with petrolium jelly to make it easier to slip on. Quote
