ElChingonCabron Posted June 27, 2003 Posted June 27, 2003 Instead of Co2 bottles... check this out. You will find information on converting a 12 volt pump to fit it under your seat!!! http://www.motorcycleplayground.com/articl...Conversion.html I bought one of those Wally World pumps and stripped it....fits in the palm of my hand and makes for easy fill ups if need be....definately a must have and cheap too.....think I paid maybe $10 for the pump  It takes about 4 minutes to fully inflate my tire  Sanch Quote
Flying Scott Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 I had the $12 K-Mart version, "always by my underwear at K-mart......” Turns out for my extra $2 on removal of the guts from the casing I was instantly GTG, Sans the hassle of reengineering the cooling fan which is safely built into the casing, I even kept the worthless gauge since it was on a nice flexible hose. Pics below, hopefully I may even take the carcass back and tell them the pump had a malfunction  its America after all you can return anything, even your underwear no doubt! I carry or did C02 and small tire plug kit because..... I once rode a fantastic ride (then CBR600F3) in far eastern Oregon out of Joseph....... the Hells Canyon road was still officially closed  its alpine stuff, long sweepers next to waterfall, road closed for small debris, occasional fallen tree etc on tarmac, so had the roads to myself, 30 miles form civilization on a closed road got the second flat of my life, 2uP  ! We road it back 40 miles to Les Schwab on the flat rear, it was quite amazing handled pretty well 30-40 MPH, tire was folded flat protecting the rim. repaired with a plug and rode the road again next day. It was even better then did another 150 miles on that tire still looked great when I replaced it. The Rain Man Okay I worked out I need third part website to display pics, I'll leave you with a thousand words instead. Cheers Quote
