XXBirdSlapper
Can anyone confirm that carbed birds use the same upper and lower radiator hoses as injected birds? I believe the part numbers are the same.
The Krypt Keeper
Upper hose has a slightly different part number on ron ayers.com But both arent available on there for a 98 but are for a 03 fi bike.. Might just have been an update of part thats all, both look the same. Less than $40 for both
XXBirdSlapper
I checked 97 vs 2000 and the numbers were the same, but they were n/a for the 97 and 98.
blackhawkxx
Are you changing them because of age? I figure that as long as my tool strap is still working, the hoses are fine.
superhawk996
It would be interesting to know if anyone's had a hose blow out. It happens plenty on cars, but never heard of it with a bike.

XXBirdSlapper
Hoses are starting to show age, what with being 21 years old. The system runs about the same pressure as a car, so I am sure sooner or latter a hose will give it up. For less than 50 bucks I can afford to replace them the only time I will ever have to. XXBirdSlapper
Nope...probably buy into something a little more hardcore though...
superhawk996
I'm shocked at the price, I'da figured close to double. Is that OE or aftermarket?
ptxyz
i ordered both upper and lower for a bit under $50 from my local honda dealer, i'm assuming oem. the ones on the bike look good but, while i'm installing a chinese radiator, i may as well at the price... XXBirdSlapper
Ok, left side hose looks good to go, right side....nope. Have to return it. The shorty hose behind the cylinders looks ok. Odd they changed the hoses, but I guess injection made it so.

Get Chinese hoses, maybe they'll serve as a pressure fuse and save the radiator
