bajjer9
Well I used to use red cap mobile one but I went yesterday and discovered they now put friction modifiers in it. So my question is does anyone have any synthetic recommendations that do not use any friction modifiers?

I don't know if this will help?

BarryG
My last change used Castrol syntec full synth 10W-40 non-energy conserving. Bird seems to run very good with this stuff.
ironmike
I like Royal Purple... 20w-50 in the summer (it gets real hot & sticky in Louisiana...) and 10w-40 the rest of the year. The bike seems to run just fine, no clutch issues and I never see any temp over 225-230*F under any conditions - of course I don't do parades either... BTW, regular 50/50 coolant mix. 8)

Pete in PA
I was using Mobil 1 15w-50 for the longest time, now using Mobil 1 5W-40 Truck and SUV oil. What a difference! You guys still using the thick stuff try the thin stuff once, adds HP! I'm going to go check on the M1 0W-40!
