  1. I have heard of balancing the rims with stems installed before putting the tires on but before??? Before I hit submit, I thought that maybe you meant before installing the tires. If that is the case, I just use two jack stands and a rod. I take my time and make sure the wheel doesn't stop in the same place. I have never had a balance problem.
  2. Doesn't that mean that it is now running leaner?
  3. I have the same pants and really like them. Someone should grab them.
  4. Looks like a good deal for those looking. http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/1251440050.html
  5. I agree having done the same thing. One other strange thing that I don't understand why is: just by pushing the pads back into the bores, the brakes will feel better for a little while. Try it.
  6. I liked the EBC's so much, I put them on my truck. It made a bigger difference than on the Bird.

  9. I use the original (bought before the "2" came out) but I put PVC pipe over the grips so the CD don't pull on the grips. Doing that pretty much acts like your "2" dancer. But like I said, I know many people who use the original weekly without bending bars. Matter of fact, this is the first time that I have ever heard of it.
  10. I still don't think that it was the Canyon Dancer as I know of so many people that uses them including myself. Must have been weak Heli bars. Good customer service is a great thing.
  11. My Yosh touched so I put some washers in back of the peg hangers. Moved it out just enough not to touch.
  12. With my XX and the Wing, when the oil is cold (thick), the wheel will spin because the clutch plates are in oil (wet clutch). When it warms up the wheel will stop. As matter of fact, if you leave a bike without starting it for a few months, make sure that you are sitting on it before putting it in gear. I do know that.
  13. I couldn't afford the ammo at about $5.00 per bang but if I had Dave's money, I would be all over it, fun, fun, fun.
  14. Sounds like the same trouble my boy was having on his 1000 RR. Seems to be a common to some hydraulic clutches. Now this would only happen when he left real hard at the track. It was driving him crazy so much that he put a cable clutch on it that he could only find in Germany that cost him over $500. I let him run my Bird at the track one night and he said that if he pushed it hard off the line, my XX clutch felt the same way. I have read that the Busa can have the same trouble and things can be done to the clutch pack and basket to fix it but I don't remember what they are. I think Dean might have talked about it once, you might try him.
  15. I thought Toxxic would be all over this. That would look great on your coffee table.
  16. Very nice and different. What would you think of gold pegs? I think it might add to your package.
  17. Never saw no flies on my Bird but on those stinky 14's and Busa's, that's a different story.
  18. If it were me and I was getting a new chain anyway, I would try to soak it down with WD-40 to see if it would free it up. Just a thought.
  19. Great looking bike, a nice one to hold on to. If you have to sell it, you will do a lot better by putting up a price. I myself don't even mess with buying anything that says "make offer". Just my two cents. Edit: is this the same bike? http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/1183026661.html
  20. That has to be one of the best deals that I have ever came across.
