  1. The Two Brothers equipment was delivered by UPS yesterday afternoon. They are now installed and I am quite pleased. A couple of things I learned along the way. During the course of research, I came to the conclusion that the Two Brothers and others did not have a bumper on their replacement mid-pipe to accomodate the centerstand. So, I bought one of cbrxxquad's centerstand stopper gizmos and had her on hand ready to go for when the pipes were delivered. That was the first thing I installed last night. Then I unpacked the pipes and looky there would ya, left side mid-pipe with bracket for the stock rubber bumper. Popped the bumper off the stock pipe and onto the new pipe and no problem. Now I have centerstand bumpers on both sides. The other thing has to do with exhaust gaskets. I think it was the Two Brothers instruction sheets that I got off their website ahead of my purchase that said that the Honda gaskets will be used on the install of these pipes. Somewhere else I read that the stock gaskets are difficult to remove and a set of new ones are a good thing to have. So. I call up Service Honda and get a pair sent. I get a new gasket out of the box and look at the mid-pipe and say to myself "no way". The Two Brothers mid-pipes are sized to fit snuggly over the stock pipe, no gasket required. The Two Brothers slip-ons ship with a tube of Permatex hi-temp silicone sealer. The intent is a bead be put on the joint between mid-pipe and the can inlet. After a few minutes of thought, I decided against it. I have an aftermarket exhaust on the 900F and no sealant between can and mid-pipe. No problems there after several years of use. We'll see what happens here. The good. Wow! Does she ever rumble nice. I like! The bad? The can hangers don't match. Discussion with Two Brothers is pending. No problems anticipated. Can hangers. Better pics to follow.
  2. Two Bros set of slip-ons are on the way. Centerstand stop in hand and ready to install
  3. The bird has a Throttlemeister. My old 900F has a Vistacruise that I installed back in '85. The Throttlemeister sure looks nice but, I'm constantly trying to flick it on with my thumb. To me it seems the old, cheap piece of plastic is a superior solution. I just can't seem to find a natural, easy way to get the Thottlemeister set. Operator error??
  4. Micron North America still has a website up. They were the North American distributor. The manufacturer is gone as of last July. They even answered the phone. Apparently, there is "lots" of stock left. Full system less money than a set of slip-ons.
  5. Web research thus far... D&D appears to have discontinued a product for the bird. Yosh has the RS-3 style in 3 surface materials. Somewhere recently, can't remember where, I read that some folks were concerned about declining quality in the Yoshimura products. Can any of you consumers validate this? Micron seems to have a wide variety of materials and finishes. However, it looks like just another flat-ended cylinder. To listen to their sales pitch, they are the best of the best in all aspects, design, material choices and assembly. Some of their points seem valid. Can any of you consumers validate this? Hindle appears to have discontinued a product for the bird. Scorpion looks to have one product for the bird. Someone above talked about a "GP style" Is that the same as what Scorpion refers to as "Street Extreme"? Delkevic has a single offering. Doesn't ring any bells for mean as far as appearance is concerned. I have left Two Brothers for last because that seems to be where I lean at the moment. How come nobody raked me over the coals for referring to them as "3 Bros" in my initial post? Just because I'm the FNG? I'll take it as this is a civilized community. There is something about the look of the Two Brothers M series that I just like. It's the look of the cast outlet nozzle. I have read in other places that maybe these guys don't build a premium piece. I have also read the opposite. I suppose it can be chalked up to differences in individual experiences. Any wisdom here?
  6. Thanks for the information. The search is on. I'd be interested in seeing a picture of these cans on the bike if you have one.
  7. Hi, new member here. I've just purchased a 2003 model and am looking for currently-available slip-on exhaust options. I've seen.... 3 Bros D&D Yosh What else is out there? At the moment, I prefer the 3 Bros M series. Not sure about the size, 3 or 5. Anyone with experience or pics, input appreciated. Bill
