  1. I have the same one hanging in my garage. I did the same thing that you did years ago on my 97. I bought a different one.
  2. So there is a 1.8 inch drop from moving the plates. That's a lot. I don't think that you could drop the front by using the triple that much without things hitting.
  3. http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_0351/rea...amp;parent=5570 If you can see this, you should be able to understand.
  4. If it is really a one inch drop, it isn't easy. If you back the rear tire up onto a board first, it's better.
  5. I don't know if this is correct or not but did you see this?
  6. Is that right? So why did I spend $100+ on a lowering link?
  7. I have both and you are right. The Corbin is a little lower but is wider in the front as you said. If you go to one of the meets or know of another XX around, it sure is easy to trade the seats for a ride and see if it helps you out. If so, you can pick one up pretty cheap and it isn't too hard to trim some foam out of it to make it even lower.
  8. You heard him Redd, post of photos of your cases.
  9. Two inches is a good bit. Are you going drag racing? Sunday night, I might be able to give you the answer to a one inch drop but I am not sure that you can just double that for two inches. Maybe the smart guys wills pipe up.
  10. All this reading just to get to this? Just kidding, thanks for trying. People can rag on Dunlops all they want but every one I have ever installed took very little to no weight (not that I have them on the XX).
  11. Walking is good for you. If it were me, it would be in the parking garage. No sun, no rain, no bird poop, no strong gust of wind to knock it over, no dog lifting it's leg on it, no homeless guy from sitting on it, well I guess you get the point.
  12. I'm sorry, I can't see it. There is a painted dot on it?
  13. Do you have any photos? I would like to see both the header and can. I have Yosh slip-ons and like them but they are on the quite side. Not sure about the full system.
  14. They make noise when they go but if I remember right, there has been no cam chain breaking or motors exploding when the cct went, just noise.
  15. Pete, did they balance up well without a lot of weight? No dot on the tires, right?
  16. Clear Alternatives sells a variable flasher unit for $14.95. I just wonder if you could wire it in the power lead of the tailight?
  17. The forks are not a solid piece of tube from axle to clip on. So no, they don't have to be the same height.
  18. Just to replace the clutch fluid, there should not be any air in the system if the person has a clue what they are doing. Now if they are replacing the line, that is a different story.
  19. Well, I must have been tired when I read your post because I missed the word fork in your oil change, sorry.
  20. For the answer, click on the link:http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_0351/front_wheel/front_wheel.cfm?man=ho&groupid=5580&parent=5570 If it is just the clip-ons that are at different heights, no big deal. If the forks are at different heights, I would go ahead and fix it. I'm guessing the the dealer didn't mess with the forks to change the oil.
  21. Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Don't want to screw up the fender.
  22. You can go one inch in front without things hitting. I know because that is the way that my bike is sitting now.
  23. Make the bike closer to the ground. Sorry, I couldn't help it. It does help if you are short or for drag racing. If you like the corners, you will drag things. You will have to drop the front also.
