Zero Knievel
'99 XX Lately, when I gas up, the needle on the fuel gauge isn't going to or past the F mark. It used to do that. Otherwise, it seems to read correctly as the gas is consumed. It could be nothing more than crud adding resistance on the signal wire (clean and put dielectric grease on the connection), but has anyone else encountered this issue? Furbird
I haven't had that particular issue, but I have had my low fuel light progressively come on later and later. I chalk it up to all the times I've had the pump out of the tank for whatever reason and probably tweaked the lever.
The Krypt Keeper
Yes on my 02 fi xx. Filled up several times and when I was ready to leave my digital gauge still showed me being at 1 or 2 bars. Eventually would register it right after leaving gas station. Hasn't done it in a year or two. But try to keep Lucas or seafoam in the system every other tank or so. Just an ounce or so thrown in.
