...couple nuts short of a full lug set.

Recommended Posts

I was out in the frosty garage looking for any random tool kit for a project.

The easiest to get at was the one in the bird.

As I was taking it out of the little spot under the seat I noticed that the top flap was open.

I'm worried I've been raining tools down the road behind me for a while.

Hope nothing went through anybody's windshield.

Does anybody have a list of what is supposed to be in the stock tool kit please?

Thanks,

Bill

Oh, and the high tech rubber bungee - that went on vacation also..... :icon_shifty:

FiXXation is missing a couple wrenches?

I was pretty sure mine was just short of total loss.

...and Fixxation, Thanks for the picture.

eBay has NO kits listed right now.

...and as I sit here - something is dawning on me.

There was another bag - I thought it was an owners manual - I'll have to check tonight .

....gotta go get my HDL checked right now.

You're missing a couple wrenches and the feeler gauge.

I noted the .7 mm feeler gauge with the bag. Is there another one?

What wrenches? I've only used the Honda tool kits to work on Harleys. I would like to be sure I have the right tools should I ever have to actually work on the Bird.

Wow....I must have replied to this before my coffee yesterday. Just one feeler gauge mounted on the bag. Looks like you're missing at least a 14mm wrench.

It looks like Honda deleted the 8/12 mm open end and 10/14 mm open end wrenches from our kits, according to the Fiche picture.

Amazingly enough, those are about the cheapest tools I've ever bought. (from RonAyers) The shipping is almost as much as the tools.

SKU Part Number Description Qty Price Ext. Price

1141427 99001-08120 SPANNER (8X12) 2 $1.81 $3.62

1141433 99001-10140 SPANNER (10X14) 2 $2.06 $4.11

1012287 89103-371-000 GAUGE (0.7MM) 1 $2.03 $2.03

The 8mm open end, what goes in those two little slots on the handle?

Edit

Oh I see is it the socket?
