Does tension increase or decrease as weight is oncreaed over the rear axle?

If you adjust with weight on it there will be no issue. If you adjust on centre stand it'll increase

i'd say, yes it does increase up to a point.

the chain run will be the longest when the centers of the front spoket, swing arm pivot and rear sproket are all aligned. the honda manual states the chain tension should be checked with the bike on it's side stand. less convenient than the center stand but, some needed weight on the rear end.

the attached pic might help you visualize how the chain run can change as the suspension moved up and down. a few dirt bikes (lots of rear suspension travel) have the rear sproket and swingarm pivot in the same axis to maitain chain tension.

It all depends on how much she weighs....

Hya--Don't forget that if a 6mm spacer is fitted to shock--chain must be adjusted with rider sitting on bike ----OFF ALL STANDS.
