Big Jeff
I just wondered what all is involved in adjusting the steering head bearing. Anybody ?
Northman
You need to remove the clip-ons, and the upper triple to gain access to the adjuster. There is also a special Honda tool for adjusting the locknut/adjuster nut, but you can do wonders with a pair of pliers, a screwdriver, and a hammer.......... Just be careful not to overtighten the bearings. MaXX
3 tries with the hammer/screwdriver combo for me last time I did it. No worries. maXX
Steve
The hardest part for me was finding a 12mm allen wrench. The actual Head bearings are simply with a hammer and screwdriver. Make sure you pack them well with grease though. Steve
