kiwimack
Anybody have a new beetle? Girlfriend of the son has a 2008 Beetle. Had to change the low beam bulbs last week. Monday ,(yesterday) they have both blown again. Googled the problem and turns out it is a common thing for Beetles and Jettas. The drivers side low beam will go first then the passengers side. Just getting to the bulbs is difficult the first time, as the whole light unit comes out without the attached wires. Any ideas................ Biometrix
Impossible to make an informed suggestion without seeing a picture of the girlfriend.
tomek
Rumor says Bosch is a cousin of Bendix and Lucas , it pretty much explains everything . What kind of bulbs ? All those fancy blue/ bright etc don`t usually last as long as regular ones . I would check voltage at connectors .That plus what Biometrix sayz . SLyFoXX
All I will say is stay away from any VW beetle, nothing but electrical and transmission issues. but they sure are cute...
OrganDonor
Check the grounds to see if they are nice and secure... no corrosion. Perhaps a little dielectric grease in the socket. (that's what she said.)
XXitanium
How many amps is the alternator putting out? There is a lot of this going on?
spicholy
Could it be a vibration issue? Any way of mounting some rubber gaskets either on the bulb itself or the housing attachment points?
