RichardCranium
That looks a lot better than the 1125 with those giant intake boxes.
vincer
Hopefully he will put "real" motors on these.
Strek
Hopefully he will put "real" motors on these. Not a fan of the Rotax engine? A punched out Rotax engine? From what I have read about them they seem pretty good. You may need a NASA approved heat shield to ride the bike though.
Byrdman
Hopefully he will put "real" motors on these. I'm assuming you're referring to the air-cooled Hardley engine because the Rotax engines are damn fine engines.
vincer
Yes, I was refering to the air cooled powerhouses.
Redbird
Yes, I was refering to the air cooled powerhouses. I think it's a safe bet that Eric Buell isn't going to be using the Evo motor anytime soon. I can't imagine how happy he is to have that albatross off his neck. Strek
As far as I know the 1125 series has always used the Rotax engines and this article seems to indicate the same. I agree I can't see why he would ever want to use a harley engine in any of his bikes going forward. The 1125 seems to get good reviews if you can live with the heat. tomek
Well,I`m not an HD apologist but without their money 1125r or XB series would have never happened . Buell fucked up with the styling of 1125 r and by rushing the machine into a market before it actually ready.Motor on 08 was "mehhh",I`m on the record saying "no way it has 130 rwhp",09 was better, stronger upper midrange and additional 300 rpm on topend. I guees it was too little too late. XB series were good looking bikes,1125 ? Not so much.
