At the Moment I'm dong a sort of spEEdfrEEk's eating Plan & XNikX's Weight Workout (Hello Pain!)

I was wondering, what supplements should I take.

I was thinking

Protein

Mulitvitamin

Potassium (read that somewhere)

Cretaine (get ready for a flame from spEEdfrEEk) :)

Any Idea's?

I was wondering, what supplements should I take.

1. a good multivitamin without iron

2. a good antioxidant supplement (extra C, E, beta carotine)

3. potassium

4. calcium

5. magnesium

6. zinc

7. iodine

and for immuno enhancement:

8. flax seed oil

9. AFA blue-green algae

Cretaine (get ready for a flame from spEEdfrEEk) :)

Only if you want to overwork your kidneys and add waterweight

you your frame. The extra weight leaves as soon as you quit

taking the creatine.

Used to. It's been taken down. I have been reposting the messages

here, but took the last few weeks of due to the holidays. (everyone

should eat badly over the holidays :lol: )

and for immuno enhancement:  

8. flax seed oil

Not sure if its just coincidence or not, but I started squirting flax-seed oil into my meals...

have not had a cold yet this year (usually I'd have had 2 or 3 by now)

(other reason could be my throat surgery and which included taking out my tonsils)

I take Optimum Nutritions supps...

They make a good Multi "Opti-men"

I get my shit from www.nutritiondiscounters.com

Don't go to GNC.... Shit costs double there...

Not a coincidence bud. The omega-3's in the oil are helping you.

You'll get even better results if you mix the tablespoon of flax oil

with 1/4 cup of cottage cheese and consume it on an empty stomach.

(anti-cancer, anti-viral Budwig approach)

Hey TJ, have you tried that Flax-o-meal hot cereal? Its pretty damn good. Another question, when buying Flax seed oil, I noticed some stores have it refrigerated and some dont, and this happens with the same brand of products. From what I understand it is somthing that should be refrigerated, am I wrong?

when buying Flax seed oil, I noticed some stores have it refrigerated and some dont, and this happens with the same brand of products. From what I understand it is somthing that should be refrigerated, am I wrong?

Yes, it should always be refrgerated. In fact, I stick it in the

freezer when I get it home. (it won't freeze solid, it's too unsaturated.)

I never buy flax seed oil unless it's kept cold and is in a totally

pitch-black container (not see through). Light and heat can denature

the oil and ruin it.

"Barleans" is my brand of choice around here. It's cheap, cold

pressed and packaged properly.

Make sure you open the bottle at the grocery store and take a

taste of it before you buy. That way you don't go home with

a rancid bottle (tastes fishy)

If they complain, tell them you're buying it if it's fresh, and

helping them to remove a bad product if it's rancid :wink:

thanks for the tips. I have been wanting to buy some for sometime now, but wasnt sure on what to get, and the whole fact that I saw many bottles sitting out on the shelf unrefrigerated in the health food store concerned me also. I will be picking up a bottle this week!
