PlasticxxHead
Looking for an old verizon flip phone, LG4400 or some thing like it. I had one in the basement but cant find it for the life of me. Anyone got a previously used paper weight sitting around in a drawer? Phones now a days are free with contract but she doesn't want to sign one, so the crappy phones are $100 w/o contract.. Thanks boyz and girls...
XXitanium
Check eBay. FYI - Frequently the phones are proprietary - they only work for one service - go figure - who would want them portable? They can be had cheep though. Good luck Bill

RXX
I have a chocolate and at least one envy and probably several more. Let me check tomorrow and PM me your address. Having 2 teenage daughters assured me an ample supply of good but outdated phones. It may take me a few days to round up appropriate chargers, but I am pretty sure I can find car adapters to some of them.

dehning
Just in case anybody has the same problem, do what I do for my office guys. Pick up the $20 Verizon Samsung Pay-as-you-go phone from from Walmart/Target etc. then call Verizon and ask them to do an ESN swap for your number to equipment that you "received from another source". Give them the ESN number from under the battery. They might give you a hard time about it being a pay-as-you-go phone, but if you insist that it will work then they will do the transfer for you. Dial *228 and option 1 when they are done and the phone will work just fine, no contract extension.
