rockmeupto125
Again, its time to clean out the shed. Offered for a pre-season sale is my 1999 1100XX. Approximately 40,000 miles and in good running condition. I've owned it since there were 2,400 miles on the clock. Mobil 1 oil at frequent intervals. Suggested and probable maintainance items for the near future: - chain - valve adjustment - only a couple thousand miles left on the rear tire - CCT is a bit noisy The fairings are repainted factory fairings. The upper fairing has a crack in a previous repair on the left windscreen horn. Its held in place by the windscreen and is stable. It occured when I tipped the bike over in the garage over a year ago. There are chips and rub marks on the VFR pearl white paint. The right side cowl lower mount was broken 8 or 9 years ago when I tipped the bike over pulling onto the road and stalled it. There is a 1/8th hole drilled in each side cowl where I mounted parade flags. The bike is offered for sale as stock other than the HID low beam, dark windscreen, plastic throttle lock, 18 tooth front sprocket and grip puppies. No other accessories or add-ons are included. Those items which are NOT part of the sale include but are not limited to the following: Ohlins rear shock, Corbin Seat, Hyperpro steering damper, Kappa luggage rack, frame plugs, frame sliders, chrome centerstand, lowered pegs, dark tint front turn signals, and V&H slip-ons. Obviously, those items will be replaced with mileage appropriate stock items. The bike is offered for $3500 in the described condition. If you wish to purchase the entire package, $4500 takes everything. You'll have to contact me if you're interested in a partial package. Some bikes are glistening monuments...this isn't. I ride it rather than wash and polish it. Those who attend the meets can vouch that it runs right along with the the shiny ones. TOXXIC
Say it ain't so Joe! Letting the Great White shark go? I really like your tip over shrooms, I'll buy them separately if the buyer doesn't want all the goodies.
XXitanium
Bump - What would a Titanium paint job or a set of plastics run? I need to learn to think outside the lines maybe.
rockmeupto125
Between 5 and 6 hundred for chinese tupperware, then you still have to paint the tank. If you have to have a certain color, I'd go with the repaint, and the cost of that depends on how much of the work you care to do yourself and how friendly you are with your local painter. googus
Bump - What would a Titanium paint job or a set of plastics run? I need to learn to think outside the lines maybe. I have seen mixed feeling about the cheep plastic on good old Flee-bay for about 500 clams. For the job (not perfect) some say not so bad but then again others just think it is just crap. I guess you just have to roll the dice and risk it all.
eurobeaner
The Great White Shark might be dirty but it's still fast on the PA roads! Slow bikes don't lead NEXXT every year
XXitanium
OK, there is a ride this weekend... at Hawks Nest. (Forgive me I'm haaving one of my homebrews). My wife already thinks I'm not spending enough time lining up a new job. Here's how the world ends. I buy rocketmeupto125's bike and make it to Hawks nest on the way home. Sorry Hobicus with a long O, but I could use some adventure..... I'l use my ownplane ticket. The homecoming would be spectacular.
