Hank.SD
Does anyone know if a 97 exhaust is the same as a 99? They look identical on the fiche, and the price is the same, but bikebandit has different PNs. The 99 is FI yes?.... I'm hoping to do an exhaust swap between the two (one is aftermarket, one is stock). Thanks!
JB4XX
you'll be ok
rockmeupto125
It will fit. The cylinder head has the same spacing and mount points, and the frame has the same mount points.
Redbird
Different cylinder pairing, but as stated, it will mount up fine. I had a carbed Akra header on my '01. In that case there was some interference with the lower radiator mount. You might run into similar issues depending on the make of your aftermarket header. Nothing you can't work around with a little ingenuity, but be aware it might not be as simple as just swapping them straight across.

lexxus
The lower radiator mount will be a small issue. they are slightly different in lengths, so if you have them both its a easy fix. you will need the longer one i think, and the mounting hole isn't in the same place. if my memory sevres me right. i did this swap.
