NoOne65
I just put a new mototek undertail recently. While washing my bike I noticed the tire rub marks have scraped it up quite bad. I have the stock shock adjusted as firm as it will go. Would a redone 900rr shock solve this issue? I would like a wilbers or a penske but could not afford it..the undertail itself took me a while to get! J
beondwacko
Either you are one heavy fella' or is the bike lowered with a link possibly ???
turbo50jeff
Either you are one heavy fella' or is the bike lowered with a link possibly ??? I'm only 150lbs and mine still rubs a little bit. When I put on a passenger, forget it. Try the 6mm shim it will put some more space in there. You can also drill a small hole in the back section(towards the battery) and zip tie it up just a bit about another 1/2 inch which should do the trick. Or you can dremmel out the section that rubs. It's just a bad design on their part. I have the second generation by the way with the led stacked taillights.

I was able to pull the front end of the undertail up about 3/4" - no more rubbing.

I think there are some pics floating around in the garage section somewhere showing this zip-tie installation. It pulls the undertail up quite a bit.
