bwflorence
Hi, A word of advice. Dont over oil K&N air filters. They make a big mess of your engine casing if you do.

I learned that the same way a few year ago on an Aprilia. Ain't it fun :icon_doh:

Just curious how you know you over oiled the filter once it was buttoned back up?

Just curious how you know you over oiled the filter once it was buttoned back up? There are drainage holes in the bottom of the airbox. These holes are directly over the engine. Oil leaked from filter onto engine onto floor.

Zero Knievel
Odd. I do as the instructions say. I spray both sides until the material has that even red color. Never had an "over oiled" problem yet.

It's easy to over-oil if your using the squirt bottle instead of the spray. Spray can is the only way to go in my opinion.
