97 1100XX for sale in chandler az

Recommended Posts

I have a 97 XX with 28000 miles on it. it is all stock but the HID hi/lo head lights. it has been garage and adult owned. the only problem is that a little over a month ago i had a low speed low side on the side of the road in the dirt and rashed the left side of the bike, side cowl, upper cowl, stator cover, front fender. the bike is in perfect mech condition and just had a new pilot road 2 rear tire and front forks rebuilt 700 miles ago, resent stator and regulator upgrade, battery. asking $3500 obo.

It looks worse that it is. it happend as i was pulling off the road into the gravel/dirt as soon as the front wheel hit the gravel it washed out, the gravel was several inches deep. I was able to step off the bike and did not even get a scrach on me. How many people low side on one of these and dont brake or crack the stator cover? I had to ride it over 100 miles to get home.

That price would be good without the damage. Its about 1500-2000 high as is IMOH.

HMMMMM, wonder what a '97 with 54k miles is worth? gonna sell the wheels? :icon_evilgrin::icon_evilgrin:

If you part this 1998 let me know how much for the HIID. :icon_biggrin:

here are the factory parts and pricing to make it like new again.

left cowl 64510-mat-6707 color NH359M $289

upper cowl 64230-mat-000ze color NH359M $449

cowl stay 645000-mat-000 $85

stator cover 1132-mat-000 $95

total $918

you can get non factory plastics in fiber glass for half the price then you need to get it painted. or if you think you could find decent stuff on ebay but good luck.

Add a front fender and (I'm guessing) a mirror to that and you're getting close to $1200, plus shipping. Then there's labor to consider, whether you do it yourself or pay someone, it is a consideration.

Honestly, your best bet is to fix it yourself or be prepared to take a pretty big hit on it.

TFT,

This is the result of mine getting knocked over at a vintage bike meet while parked.

Easy fix...if your kid does bodywork and depends on you for sleeping quarters!!

+ you almost always find stuff more broken stuff once you tear the bike down. Tweaked fairing stays, busted tabs etc..
