sandman
I'll second that and bump this in the process. My '93 1000F was probably the most comfortable, reliable, and cheapest to operate bike I've owned. Only have to deal with cam chain tensioners and voltage regulators like all CBR's. Great bike at a great price.
blackmax
The cct does need to be changed, kind of noisy, and the new battery won't hold a charge, using a regular automotive load tester shows the charging system not up to the task. I still need to check it with a multi meter though.
sandman
Ooops, well then it does sound very likely that this bike currently suffers from the two most common 1000F problems, and will have to be dealt with. The worst hassle will be the cam chain tensioner, the costliest will be the voltage regulator.
XXitanium
Friendly bump - It's too cold to ride, but it's fun to think about it.
blackmax
Thanks for the bump, it's ok here about 40 this week, nights are in the teens and 20's ok to ride the 25 miles to work all geared up, just got tourmaster synergy heated gloves. Very nice about $130. Be safe happy shoveling.
