Jet kit difference!

K&N jet kit. Factory everything else.

Before jet, it was around 128 bhp, after it was around 132bhp. But the important thing is that it smoothed out the whole thing. I really like it and it was worth the whole 35 bucks that I spent on it.

If you get a chance for a jet kit, pick one up!

I can't give you that info quite yet. I didn't do the dyno (normally I do) but didn't have time this time. I'll scan in the dyno runs when I get a chance. I'll also find out what clip position he used.

It was me..

And yes, K&N is selling their jet kits for dirt cheap.

The K&N kit IS the dynojet kit and they work very

nicely. You even get a free dynorun.

I like the one in my bird so much that I picked

up one for my 1000F (for $35 from K&N)

It's worth it if you want a great performance upgrade

for under $50.0 delivered to your door.

I could have sworn somebody on this board said the K&N website had the dynojets for something like $35.  I couldn't find it!

I just put the K&N kit ($35.00) this weekend in my 97. Man, the difference! I am sooo happy. It runs perfect. No flat spot or anything. Also put in new plugs and one tooth down front. Needles are 3rd down from top and piots out 2 &1/2. Now,I just don't know how to get a good 60 foot time at the track. The front end just wants to come up :!:

I also bought a K&N kit a few months ago for $35.00. Works great!! I set it at 3rd clip down and 2 1/2 turns out. I would like to get the carbs sync'd and have it checked on a dyno. I hope to coordinate a stop at a shop with a dyno during my trip south in August.

I have a 97XX with K&N filter and 2-Bros slip-ons.

really all you need is to find out what jet sizes the kit comes with and go to the dealer and buy them yourself they are cheap, like 3.50 each needles a bit more but still cheap.. I would tell you what sizes they put in but I wasnt there and dont know.. so if one of you guys knows which jets ya put in the other guys here can just buy the jets good luck it is the way to go

It's a bit more complicated than that..

1) It also comes with replacement springs for the slides

2) It also comes with a drill bit to enlarge the slide holes.

I can tell you what kind of main jet you need, but

I didn't see any markings on the needle (and you

also need the e-clips and second pair of washers)

I have no idea how to even describe the springs as

they are in my bike right now and I ain't takin'

'em out! ;-)

If someone else wants to risk trying this with Honda

needles and jets I can give you the diameter of the

drill bit (or even mail off the bit itself..)

I wouldn't screw with that though. The kit is

worth it even at twice the price..

I put my order in over the web. Then to be sure, I called. The person on the phone says, Oh, there's only one left. Let me make sure it's not a mistake *waits...waits*...nope, we got one. You want it? I say sure....I get it in the mail. Then I get an email saying that they don't have any left. Wierd.

Anyhow, apparently I got that last one... :] Maybe...

Obby, fatten up the pilot jets 1 size, that will take the low end stumble out of it (I had to do this with my 98 with a Factory Pro Jet kit). You have to buy the jets seperate and don't buy Honda/Keihin Jets, buy them off of some performance shop. I think the dealer wants $13/jet. I paid $18 for all my jets.
