TX1100F
currently on eBay... So two weeks ago I was damn near rear-ended by a dumb-ass driver (one of my fellow teachers! ). All I heard was a wildly honking horn and then the horrid sounds of locked up tires getting closer very fast. My mirror had a lot of Ford Ranger grill and headlights in it. I opened the throttle and we both think that is what saved my ass - literally. Thank God for Honda for the XX! Funny part is that my first thought was "DAMN! This is REALLY going to fuck up the swingarm and rim!" followed closely by "DAMN! This is going to hurt!". Anyway, I have a headlight modulator that I feel does a hell of a job letting folks know I am around -from the front. :icon_clap: Does anyone have a recommendation for/against fancy rear flasher relays? And no, loud pipes do not save lives. :icon_wall:
Para045
Interesting idea :icon_think: I remember seeing an integrated taillight that had a variable flasher unit built in recently where you could vary your blinker rate however you want, pity the cops would defect us over here in Aus
RXX
http://www.customdynamics.com/kisan_trailb...eceleration.htm http://www.customdynamics.com/signal_dynam...t_modulator.htm I have the second unit (I think, it may be from a different mfr) It was not a real pretty install, there is not much wire going to the light to splice into, IIRC. I think it does its job, though. There are lots of different styles, I am sure a quick google will overwhelm you. BTW, I have a headlight modulator, as well as a "trick" blinker module that modulates blinkers also. Look under trick flasher. I got it to fix my LED issues. TuffguyF4i
I have a 16 LED strip on the back of my xx for this reason. If i had to do over, i would just get one of these. http://www.customdynamics.com/knight_rider_led_light_bar.htm Very attention getting. If you didn't like the 'night rider effect', you could always just wire up two of the three wires so that the blinking action only came on with the brakes. blackhawkxx
Clear Alternatives sells a variable flasher unit for $14.95. I just wonder if you could wire it in the power lead of the tailight?
