Canadian Bird
Are you using some obsure, esoteric, mail order, cleaner? Are they just a variation of a theme? Do you use wax or some new age polimers? Just curious?
The Krypt Keeper
Been a big fan of Meguiers (sp) waxes for a long time. Nothing fancy or anything, can be found almost anywhere.
MrBadExxample
Oh a cleaning thread, of course I'm in. The two waxes/cleaners I really like are Honda Polish and Black Magic Liquid Wax (autozone or advance auto parts)
Toynut
I also keep a Clay Magic kit that I prep the bike with prior to waxing, just be careful around the decals. Meguires makes a simular product.
Venus97
I use Honda Polish in between waxes of Meguiars Cleaner/wax. I use Black Magic (similiar to Armor All) for the rubber hoses/lenses, etc.
Canadian Bird
I also keep a Clay Magic kit that I prep the bike with prior to waxing, just be careful around the decals. Meguires makes a simular product. How often and when do you use "clay" on your bike? I've clayed cars with excellent results but I've never allowed my Bird to get to a stage where clay is necessary. Cheers I use Honda Polish in between waxes of Meguiars Cleaner/wax. I use Black Magic (similiar to Armor All) for the rubber hoses/lenses, etc. I've never seen Honda polish, do they actually make it or does someone bottle it for them? Bob the Fish
You mean we have to wash these damn bikes too????? WTF !! That's not what Hobi told me when I bought mine
Rales
A little spin on the topic, how do you keep the paint from getting those tiny scratch in it, that you can only see from an angle. Or how to get rid of them? I tried waxing to get rid of them but they are still there. Maybe turtle wax sucks, i had it in my garage so i tried it. kf4mtw
Final Detail works great, an instant spray wax. just wipe it off, leaves no residue on the blacks, keeps bugs from sticking.
