XXitanium
I'm an old guy - I can actually remember seeing XX on the streets when they first came out. Now the older models are getting into a price range I could stretch and afford. Also one of the guys at work is looking at them too. What is the difference between a "Blackbird" and a "Super Blackbird"? Thanks, Bill
MileHi
The word "Super"... Not diff... All the same bike. '97 - '97 have carbs and the '99 on are Fuel Injected.

Pete in PA
Here in the USA, it's just the CBR1100XX. In Europe, Australia etc. it's the Super Blackbird.
SBBXX
Thanks, The '97 Vs '99 hepls though. I personally will be looking for the injected version - bare minimum. Bill Don't pass up a good deal on a 97/98 in great shape. They run cooler and tend to get better gas milage. For more info on the different years, check this out. Me, I don't mind using a choke in the morning. Most 97/98 owners, like me, love their carbed blackbirds. And since mine's from Canada, it's a Super BlackBird. marty
OZDave
I've got an 04 "Super Blackbird". A friend has the 97. The 97 walks away from mine in all situations. Don't pass up an early carbed one, they are reliable and do go better than the FI models. Having said that, I like the "no fuss ever" situation of the FI. Hot, Cold, No problems...ever, and easier to retune with a PC if you change stuff.
