Redbird
No. Stock cam sprockets are not slotted.

Keith
can you replace them? I don't remember where I've seen them, but someone makes slotted cam sprockets for the 'bird.
Pete in PA
On my V65 I slotted them myself with a grinder and small diameter stones. (and there were 4 of them)

Northman
http://www.orientexpress.com makes them. IIRC, they're ~ $50/pr
Pete in PA
Four stones? 4 cam sprockets wise (old) ass. What you will change is where the power is in the RPM band, not how much there is. You can increase the peak rpm HP at the expense of lower rpm HP and response. For best all around power set them at 104 degree lobe centers. tomek
Stock numbers for carb xx are intake 100 (very agressive number for stock bike) Exhaust 105 Possibly you could get some extra top end by increasing overlap, retarding exhaust cam to something like 100-102,but it could make midrange softer. In reality you won`t know that for sure without extensive dyno time. I would just set lobe centers to stock numbers. Don`t rely on marks to find TDC,use positive piston stopper.
