silverbird1100
I've currently got mine 47mm (from the clamp, dropped 8mm) and it seems like if I go any further, the fender is going to make contact with the bike. Not sure, but how much can you drop it and not have clearance problems?
Warchild
Don't lower the front. Raise the rear instead. This ASSumes that you are after quicker steering here... if it's an issue that you are inseamed-challenged dude looking to reach the ground at stoplights, that's a different story, obviously. blackhawkxx
I know that you can go one inch.
Obby
I know that you can go one inch. Same here. I'm down an inch and change on my '97. Steering is perhaps too quick.
silverbird1100
I know that you can go one inch. I just need to go 1/2 inch. It just looks like the cables and other things are going to get smashed. Higher is only better for expert riders. When ground clearance in not an issue, lower is better

blackhawkxx
4.7mm from the fork seal to the clamp Are you sure that you are not looking at the rock guard part and not the dust seal?
silverbird1100
4.7mm from the fork seal to the clamp Are you sure that you are not looking at the rock guard part and not the dust seal? My bad, 4.7inches to the dust seal. You guys dropping them that much must not be using that much travel.
